Base Class: Paladin
Paladins of the Shattered Flame worship their god, Raahk the Everburning, with great devotion and zeal. They swear to destroy the Rot of the land, wielding a blade in one hand, and their Flame in the other.
Tenets
A paladin who takes this oath has the tenets of flame seared on his forearm.
Cleanliness. No disease nor poison may be permitted, all must be cleansed. Fire is used as a method to burn away excess and allow for true growth.
Rebirth. Only from the ashes of what it once was can something be born anew. One’s path can always change, and it is our responsibility to remove the taint of the life they once lived..
Hope. If hope dies, then so shall everything good in the world. Only by enduring the trials of the world around us can we prove that we are worthy to live in it.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Ashen Retribution. You can use your Channel Divinity to take on an aspect of Raahk the Everburning. As a reaction to taking damage to a creature within 15 feet of you, you may set your surroundings aflame. All creatures within 15 feet of you, including yourself, must make a Dexterity saving throw or take fire damage equal to half the damage you just took.
Excise Rot. You can use your Channel Divinity to pour Raahk the Everburning’s flame into the body of a creature. As an action, you may touch a creature and sear its flesh, scouring it of all disease and poisons. Any number of the following conditions are removed from the creature: Blinded, Charmed, Deafened, Incapacitated, Paralyzed, Petrified, Poisoned, Stunned, Unconsious, and Rotting. The creature is also cleansed of any diseases or curses that may be affecting it. The creature takes 1d6 radiant damage for each condition, disease, and curse that is removed, and it gains two levels of Exhaustion. Until it fully recovers from its Exhaustion, its hit point maximum is reduced by half the amount of fire damage it took (rounded down).

Raahk's Embrace
Starting at 7th level, you constantly exude a small amount of Raahk the Everburning’s flames. This aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover, shedding dim light in the form of faint, almost-invisible flames.
Friendly creatures within the aura have advantage on saving throws against poison, disease, and the Rotting condition. They also gain resistance to cold, fire, poison, and necrotic damage. Finally, hostile creatures within the aura of you take fire damage equal to your charisma modifier when they first enter it, and again at the start of each of their turns.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Blazing Smite
Starting at 15th level, your patron has imbued your blade with an additional measure of his power.
When you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can expend one spell slot to deal extra damage to the target, in addition to the weapon’s damage. The extra damage is 2d10 damage for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d10 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 6d10. If the target is an undead, fiend, or plant, you may instead expend two spell slots, adding the level of the second to the first. For example, you may expend two 1st level spell slots and treat them as a single 3rd level spell slot, dealing 4d10 fire damage, or two 5th level spell slots, dealing 11d10 damage. You also deal an additional 1d10 damage whenever you hit a creature, whether you use the active portion of this feature or not.
This ability’s damage is treated as both fire and radiant damage. In case of resistances or vulnerabilities, the damage is treated as whichever type the target is most vulnerable to. Else, any effects that affect fire or radiant damage treat the damage dealt by this ability as that type of damage.
This ability replaces both Divine Smite and Improved Divine Smite. You can no longer use those abilities.
Phoenix Form
At 20th level, you have become an avatar of Raahk the Everburning’s will. You gain the following features:
- You have immunity to fire, poison, and necrotic damage.
- You gain resistance to cold and radiant damage, as well as nonmagical bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing damage.
Once per long rest, as an action, you can transform your body into flame, gaining the following features for the next 10 minutes:
- You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed, and can Dash as a bonus action on your turn.
- Whenever you take fire damage, you gain temporary hit points equal to the damage you would have taken.
- Your Blazing Smite damage die becomes a 1d12, and whenever you use it on an undead, fiend, or plant, you may choose to deal half its damage to all undead, fiends, and plants within 10 feet of you.
- Finally, you shed bright light in a 30 foot radius, and dim light for an additional 30 feet.
