Base Class: Monk
The Drow developed this fighting style long ago by mimicking the movements and tactics of spiders. As a result, they were gifted some of the creature's abilities as well. In the time that has passed, the technique spread outside of Drow communities and to the larger world, and perhaps even beyond. Various rumors have been spread about the followers of this path in that time, including that to be inducted you must first be bitten by some special spider, and that those who follow this technique are menaces, not to be trusted. Those who devote themselves to this path, however, know not to pay their critics much mind, and let their actions speak louder than words.
Web Spinner
At 3rd level, you the ability to spin webs. You gain access to the Web Sling action. In addition, you can spend 2 ki points to cast the Web spell without material components, replacing one of your attacks you make as part of the Attack action.
Web Sling is a ranged attack with a range of 30 feet, dealing bludgeoning damage to your unarmed strikes. On a hit, you can either pull yourself up to 10 feet closer to the target, or you can pull the target up to 10 feet closer to you. You can use this in place of any of the attacks you would make as part of your Attack action or Flurry of Blows.
At 17th level, the range of both of these actions doubles, as does the area of Web. In addition, you can move yourself or the target up to the full range of Web Sling.
Wall Crawler
You have trained to travel as delicately as a spider. At 3rd level, you know the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web as you, and you ignore movement restrictions caused by webbing. In addition, you can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Spider Sense
You have honed your senses to become extraordinarily perceptive. As of 3rd level, you cannot be surprised, and you have advantage on initiative checks.
Enhanced Spider Sense
Your senses have been refined further, giving you a stronger perception of your surroundings. At 6th level, you gain blindsight up to 20 feet away, and can add your Wisdom modifier to Dexterity saving throws.
Venomous Strikes
At 11th level, you become capable of injecting venom into your foes. Whenever you hit with a melee weapon attack, you may spend 1 ki point have the target make a Constitution saving throw against your ki save DC, taking acid damage equal to two rolls of your martial arts die and becoming poisoned. On a success, they take half as much damage, and are not poisoned.
Master of Webs
By 17th level, you have mastered the use of your webs in combat. Your webs' range and area have doubled.
