Musical Alchemist

A Musical Alchemist takes pride in brewing concoctions, while also infusing their craft with melodies, enhancing the effects of elixirs, brews, and potions alike.

Tool Proficiency

You gain proficiency with alchemist’s supplies and herbalism kits. If you already have proficiency with either or both of these items, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.

Musical Alchemist Spells

You always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Musical Alchemist Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Musical Infusion

You are able to infuse melodies and short musical phrases into brews you create. Once per day(increases to 2 at level 5 and 3 at level 9), you can create a magical elixir using an empty flask and an instrument. This allows you to create a potion using any spell given to you by this subclass, or one of your bard spells that requires somatic components. As an action, you can drink this potion, or administer it to an incapacitated creature. Each brew lasts a number of days equal to your Artificer level divided by 2(rounding down).

Misty Brews

At level 5, You've learned to mix an aerosolizing agent into your potions without degrading their effectiveness. As a bonus action, you can throw one of your Musical Infusions at a target up to 30 feet from you, causing the flask to smash on the ground and release a cloud of restorative vapors. Due to the short duration of the aerosolizing agent, only you can throw Musical Infusions in such a way. Anyone else using your potions must still drink or administer them normally.
