Monk
Base Class: Monk

Flowweavers are unique among monks in their profound understanding and manipulation of manaflow and magical energy. The manaflow is the source of all magic in living beings, coursing through them much like blood in the cardiovascular system. By subtly tapping into and adjusting this manaflow, Flowweavers can enhance their own capabilities, empower their allies, disrupt their enemies, and even manipulate the magical effects around them.

Flowweavers view manaflow as an integral part of the universe's rhythm and balance, intertwining the mystical and the physical in all living beings. With rigorous training and meditative practices, they strive to harmonize their own manaflow with that of the world around them, leading to a unique blending of martial prowess and magic manipulation.

Flowweaver Techniques

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Arcana skill if you don't already have it. Your unarmed strikes are imbued with the force of your inner flow, you can use your Wisdom modifier instead of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for attack and damage rolls with unarmed strikes.

Flow Disruption

At 3rd level, your understanding of the life force within yourself and others allows you to disrupt this flow within your enemies. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 ki point to attempt to disrupt their inner flow. The creature must make a Constitution saving throw, with a DC equal to your Ki save DC. On a failed save, the target suffers disadvantage on the next spell attack roll or ability check that involves spellcasting until the end of its next turn.

Flow Amplification

Starting at 6th level, you learn to harness your inner flow to empower your physical prowess. Once per turn as a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki points to amplify your inner flow, increasing your next unarmed strike damage by 2d6 force damage + your Wisdom modifier.

Flowweaver's Aid

At 6th level, you learn to channel a portion of your manaflow to another creature, enhancing their abilities. As an action, you can touch a creature and spend 2 ki points to grant them a beneficial effect that lasts for 1 minute, or until you end it as a free action. You can maintain these effects on a number of creatures up to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of one) simultaneously. Choose one of the following effects when you use this ability:

  • Flow of Strength: The target gains advantage on Strength-based ability checks and saving throws, and adds your Wisdom modifier to their Strength-based attack damage.
  • Flow of Agility: The target gains advantage on Dexterity-based ability checks and saving throws, their speed increases by 10 feet, and gains a bonus to their AC equal to half your Wisdom modifier (rounded down).
  • Flow of Vitality: The target gains advantage on Constitution saving throws and heals an amount equal to your Wisdom modifier at the end of each of their turns for the duration.
  • Flow of Magic: The target adds your Wisdom modifier to their spell damage/healing or half your Wisdom modifier (rounded down) to a saving throw DC.

This effect ends for all creatures you've granted an effect to if you fall unconscious, or you lose concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell).

If a creature you've affected with this ability falls unconscious, the effect ends for only that creature.

Flowweaver's Resilience

At 11th level, your deep understanding of energy flow provides you with protection against magical harm. You gain advantage on saving throws against magical effects and spells.

At 11th level, your understanding of energy flow allows you to establish a visible, protective link of magical energy with your allies. As an action, you can spend 3 ki points to form lifelinks with up to three allies within 30 feet. These lifelinks last for 1 minute. During this time, your allies have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

As a reaction you may grant any number of allies connected by lifelink temporary hit points equal to your half your monk level, each ally you choose past the first costs an additional 1 ki point.

Flowweaver's Ascendance

Starting at 17th level, you can, once per long rest, enter an ascended state as an action for 5 ki points, which lasts for 1 minute. During this time, you gain the following benefits:

  • If a creature fails its Constitution saving throw against your Flow Disruption feature, it cannot cast spells or use magical abilities until the start of your next turn.
  • Flowweaver's Strike damage increases to 2d6 force damage.
  • When you hit a creature with your Flowweaver's Strike feature, if that is currently affected by your Flow Disruption, you deal an extra 1d6 force damage.
  • When you use Flowweaver's Aid Choose two effects.
  • Temporary hit points granted by your Flowweaver's Lifelink ability is increased by an amount equal to your wisdom modifier
  • At the beginning of each of your turns for the duration you may spend 2 ki points to grant yourself and allies connected by Flowweaver's Lifelink resistance to damage from spells.
  • When you or an ally reduce a creature to 0 hit points you gain 1 ki point

This feature may only be used once per long rest
