Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Malefactors can be found just about anywhere there is power and intrigue to be had.  They have a natural talent to rise through the ranks of nearly any organization and eventually excel at building their syndicates.  They know exactly when and where to call in a favor or make a threat that will help them get just what they want or have it done "yesterday".  It's not all dog eat dog though, it is just as easy to use their ambitions to assist their allies and protect their friends.

Master of Tactics

Starting at 3rd level, you can use the Help action as a bonus action. Additionally, when you use the Help action to aid an ally in attacking a creature, the target of that attack can be within 30 feet of you, rather than within 5 feet of you, if the target can see or hear you.

Razor Sharp Ambition

You rise through the ranks of any guild, faction, cult or other organization that you choose to be a part of with alarming rapidity.  You gain faction influence twice* as fast and are treated as first among equals by your peers.

You have a second sense as to whom you need to ingratiate yourself with to rise through the ranks and may get access to "special" faction quests due to this acuity.  You can use this ability to help your allies as well. (although they do not gain the x2 bonus)

"Friends" in many places

Starting at 9th level, You have cultivated enough power, influence and favors that people either want to do their very best to please you, or get out of your debt as quickly as possible.

This allows you be granted a favor which works automatically once every (week?) of game time.  If you have already used your automatic success, there is still a chance that you can get some assistance with a (your level x5% chance) each successive success reduces the chance by a cumulative 5%.  A failure on any of these rolls simply means that you either have no influence in that area, or your usual targets are not present or compromised.

The size of the favor is small enough not to be harmful to  the well being, security or success of the target.  Larger favors should instead be role-played out and assisted by skill checks if necessary, but this power is a good way to get your foot in the door if you are looking for the proverbial "keys to the kingdom"

Misdirection

Beginning at 13th level, you can sometimes cause another creature to suffer an attack meant for you. When you are targeted by an attack while a creature within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to have the attack target that creature instead of you. If the creature is hostile towards you they must be either flanking you, assisting the attack on you, or providing partial cover with their body.   If the creature is friendly and your size or smaller they may moved 5' and into path of the attack.  Understandably, after the attack, the may be a lot less friendly, or even hostile toward you.  Not to mention, more heroic types generally frown on this type of cowardliness.

Organized Network Building

When you reach 17th level, you have learned how to effectively plan, run and execute functions as the leader of a syndicate of some type or another.   You naturally attract other, but lesser professionals with common goals.

Most of people in your syndicate are faceless minions, but you also have some talent.  You are able to have equal to your own level in character or CR level of minions that act as your captains and overseers. (a level 5 fighter eats up 5 of your starting 17 levels for example)  These bought minions are extremely loyal and will not betray you as long as you don't abuse them.

Beware:  Depending on situation, Minions with character levels may also take a cut of party experience, and if they level up, their syndicate  ability cost also goes up by one.

Should your syndicate be totally destroyed or  uprooted,  you can rebuild or restart in half the time and with half the resources usually necessary.

You are expected to pay your leveled minions their level cost in gold x5 a week.   A wealthy lifestyle will cover the costs of your other faceless servants and assistants and so incur no additional costs.
