Way of the oni

Synopsis:

The Way of the Oni is a monk subclass that taps into the malevolent power of the Oni, ancient and fearsome entities of darkness. As a practitioner of this path, your fists become infused with demonic energy, enabling you to strike with an otherworldly force that bypasses defenses. Guided by wisdom, you harness your inner focus to enhance strength-related tasks, displaying unmatched precision and control. With each strike, you unleash a relentless barrage of blows, embodying the wrath and might of the Oni. At the pinnacle of your training, you can assume a fearsome Oni Form, gaining resistance to damage, immunity to thunder and lightning, and the ability to soar through the skies. In battle, you command respect and evoke unease as the embodiment of the Oni's fury.

Starting at 3rd level you can use your bonus action and 1 ki point to coat your fists in demonic energy,  when this effect is active your unarmed strikes are considered a +1, immediatly after you use this effect you can use flurry of blows as well as part of this bonus action

you can also use your wisdom modifier for all strength checks while active 

These effects last for a number of minutes equal to half your monk level rounded up

Starting at 7th level the damage increase to +2 and at level 17 it increases to +3 

Bonus proficieny

You gain proficiency with intimidation or another proficiency if you already have this proficiency 

Ironclad Oni Resilience

You can use your action and 2 ki points to coat your body in the onis power for one hour

While this effect is active your armor class equals 13+your wis mod + your dex mod

You also gain resistance to bludgeoning damage and advantage on saving throws against becoming frightened 

 

Oni's Ruthless Onslaught

Oni's Devastating Barrage

With Oni's Devastating Barrage, your unleashed fury knows no bounds. When you take the Attack action and use your unarmed strike, you can expend a number of ki points up to your maximum and unleash a relentless onslaught upon your foes. For each ki point spent, you add an additional Martial Arts die to the damage roll.

Harnessing the accumulated power within, your strikes become a flurry of precision and strength, each blow landing with the force of a tempest. The energy of the oni courses through your veins, empowering your strikes with an unprecedented level of devastation. This torrential barrage leaves your enemies battered and broken in its wake.

Oni's Ascendancy

Beggining at 17th level you can spend 4 ki points, and you can tap into the Oni's Ascendancy, unleashing your true potential. For 1 minute, you enter a fearsome Oni Form.

In this form, each of your unarmed strikes automatically deals an additional Martial Arts die of damage. You become resistant to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage, and immune to thunder and lightning damage, as well as the fear condition. Additionally, you gain a flying speed equal to your base walking speed.

You can only use Oni's Ascendancy once per long rest. When activated, you become an unstoppable force, embodying the might and power of the Oni.
