Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

When entering the Fortune and Favor Pact the intrepid warlock is told two things: Never ask any questions and honor every deal. This pact relies on a simple bartering system, a favor for a favor, you scratch my back I scratch yours. While less magically inclined than other pacts your new patron offers discretion and results. No matter the job, no matter the deed, no matter the favor his followers always needs something done and your patron will find someone perfect for the job, even if that person is sometimes you.

Fortune of Favors

You gain the ability to ask your patron for a favor. Upon your patron agreeing a portal is opened and another member of the pact emerges to perform the task. This npc cannot be interacted with simply replying "They said no questions." Upon completion the npc gives the player a Token of Favor and promptly leaves through a new portal, the amount of tokens the player receives varies depending on the difficulty of the task that your patron deems fitting. In addition while the player has a Token of Favor this means their patron may also call upon them at any time to fix someone else's problem, though the magnitude of the favor will never outweigh the amount of Favor Tokens the player has. The player may either go themselves or send a fellow party member if they are unable to fulfill the task. If the task is not completed the pact is broken and the warlock is stripped of their power

Token Pouch

Upon signing the pact the player receives a magically bound pouch, the size of a coin purse. The only item that is able to be stored in this pouch are tokens of favor recieved from other pact members upon a successful completion of a task. The pouch can store up to the players Charisma bonus plus proficiency bonus. If lost, discarded, or emptied the pouch and the tokens inside will be returned within 24 hours with one more token than when it was lost, unless it surpasses the maximum.

Flavors of Favors

Skill Favor

The player may call for aid when performing a skill check that they are not skilled in. To request a Skill Favor the player must not already be proficient in the skill or in combat and the player may not use a favor for saving throws.

Assassination Favor

When not in combat the player may call for an Assassination Favor to kill an NPC. Whomever fulfills the favor will only perform the assassination, nothing more and anything in addition is non negotiable. The target may also not be a combatant, or in a stage of combat readiness

Tracker Favor

The player asks for information relating to a lost person or item. This is the only favor that is not immediate and may take more than one day.

Foreign Favors

Starting at level 6 the player can now ask their patron for a favor while in combat. The player may take an action to request a foreign hero to aid their party for the remainder of the fight. Foreign heroes may be taken from the monster manual but must be a humanoid who can comprehend language (such as knight, mage, gladiator, etc.). Foreign heroes cost one Token of Favor per level of CR, minimum of one Token, the player may only receive the aid of one foreign hero per combat encounter and the foreign hero will leave immediately after the battle has ceased. The Foreign Hero shares your initiative in combat, is controlled by you in combat, and if the Foreign Hero dies while performing their favor the Favor Token cost is doubled.

Altering the Deal

By now the warlock has proven their worth to their patron as a valuable asset to the patron and can begin negotiating the terms of their contract. At level 10 the player may choose a favor from Flavors of Favor to gain benefits on. This feature will yield half the amount of Tokens of Favor from this specific favor performed, with a minimum of one token per favor. While performing this type of favor for another pact member it will remove twice the amount of tokens, this favor can be completed by the warlock or one of their party members to still receive the benefit.

Fortune at Last

At level 14 the player has proven great worth to their patron and may now begin having small dealings on their own. The player may now call in two favors at once, or three if this is their selected type of favor from Altering the Deal. In addition the player may also have others join their pact to perform favors for the player instead of doing them personally, though they can still fulfill favors personally if they desire. The player uses their proficiency in Animal Handling for the amount of followers they may bring into the pact under them.

In addition the players Token Pouch expands to allow a maximum of one extra token per underling.
