Bard
Base Class: Bard

Where most bards focus on the minute weaving of magic and music, bards of the College of Canticles focus on a much deeper mingling of the two, though at great personal risk.

Pluck the chords of the Weave

When you join the College of Canticles at 3rd level, you begin to master weaving magic and song, You gain proficiency with Performance and Arcana, as well as an additional instrument of your choice

Canticle

Starting at third level you may create a number of Canticles equal to your Proficiency Bonus. A Canticle may contain up to three spells. During the recitation of a Canticle you may cast and maintain concentration on as many spells as exist in said Canticle, for it's duration your speed is reduced by half, and you have disadvantage on Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration on spells. Lastly, should your concentration on a Canticle be ended by damage received, you suffer a number of d12 in psychic damage equal to the number of spells currently being concentrated on. You may choose to expend any number of your bardic inspiration die to reduce the damage by the amount rolled

Additional Magical Secrets

At 6th level, you learn two spells of your choice from any class. A spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Bard table, or a cantrip. The chosen spells count as bard spells for you but don’t count against the number of bard spells you know.

Spectral Band

Starting at 14th level, when performing a canticle, whenever you cast a spell requiring concentration a spectral aspect of your musical ties manifests around you in a form of your choosing to assist you with your performance. Whenever you're hit with an attack you may interpose one of these bandmates with yourself, ending concentration on one spell within your canticle and negating damage from that source.
