Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Deep within the plane of elemental fire walks a lone bear bent on an eternal quest to extinguish the fires therein forever. He is Smokey Bear, your patron, wielder of the other 3 elements, master of the junior cadets, and destroyer of arsonists. He will grant you untold power if only you dedicate yourself to one simple principle: stop uncontrolled fires--not an easy feat in a world where wizards think the solution to everything is a giant fireball.

The power that Smokey offers is diverse. He grants power over the elements, incredible amounts of control over your magic, and also magic from his druidic and ranger allies.

If you've ever thought the Warlock has too few spell options, too few ways to cast spells, or you just hate fire, this is the subclass for you.

Magic of the Forest

Smokey Bear has granted you access to the druid spell list (in addition to the warlock spell list) when you learn a warlock spell.

You learn two additional cantrips from the druid's spell list.

Fire Patrol

1st level Smokey Bear feature

Smokey Bear has granted you a number of Junior Cadet Badges equal to your proficiency bonus. Each badge is a magical item that requires attunement by someone committed to stopping uncontrolled fires. These metal badges have an image of Smokey pointing at you etched into them. Beneath Smokey, the badge reads "Only you can stop forest fires."

Each badge makes the wearer resistant to fire damage and grants the cantrip control flames.

[You can find Smokey's Cadet Badge as a homebrew magical item]

Controlled Burn

6th level Smokey Bear feature

You get the feats elemental adept and metamagic adept [you must manually add them to your character sheet].

When you cast eldritch blast, you may choose to replace its damage type with the one you chose in elemental adept.

Park Ranger

10th level Smokey Bear feature

Choose a 1st level spell from the ranger spell list, a 2nd level spell from the ranger spell list, and a 3rd level spell from the ranger spell list. You may cast each of those spells once per short rest. You may not cast those spells outside this ability unless you also know those spells a different way.

Only You Can Stop Forest Fires

14th level Smokey Bear feature

You must stop forest fires. Even if it means removing all the oxygen in an area.

Once per long rest, you can cast Vacuum ignoring its material cost. It an evocation spell described below. [You can also find this spell as a homebrew spell]

Casting time: 1 action
Range: 120 feet
Components: V, S, M (vial containing a magically perfect vacuum costing 100gp)
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

With a sweeping arm gesture, you expel all oxygen from a 20-foot, by 20-foot, by 20-foot cube centered on a point you can see. That point is a true vacuum. Within the cube, all clouds, fogs, and vapors are dissapated and all fires are extinguished. Performing the verbal components of spells is impossible within the cube. Unsecured objects in the cube are propelled toward the center, potentially harming those within it. On subsequent turns, you can move the location of this cube up to 10 ft. as an action.

Each creature in the area, or which begins its turn in the area, must make a Dexterity saving throw as the vacuum attempts to suck them toward the center. On a failed save, the creature is pulled 10-feet toward the center of the vacuum, potentially dealing/receiving damage as it hits other creatures or objects.

Each creature in the area, or which begins its turn in the area, must make a Constitution saving throw as all the oxygen is pulled from their bodies. On a failed save, the creature receives 2d6 force damage for every 5-feet it is away from the border and closer to the center. (For instance, a creature 20-feet from the center will receive 2d6 force damage. A creature 15-feet away will receive 4d6 force damage. And a creature within 5-feet of the center will receive 10d6.) On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage.
