Base Class: Sorcerer
Your innate magic is not the result of a bloodline or primordial connection, rather it is the budding reminder of a forgotten past. In a previous life, you were a Sorcerer of great capability—now, either by the virtues of the weave or the will of another, your powerful soul has come to reinhabit a body in the material plane. A Sorcerer reincarnated in this way is just as much a mystery to themselves as they are to the world around them, for—while your sorcerous abilities were returned to you—the memories of your past deeds were not.
These enigmatic sorcerers are vaguely aware of their status as a recycled being, gaining only frustratingly fleeting glimpses into a life once lived. While this lack of knowing is unbearable to some, the ability to reforge a new life is liberating to most. Drawing upon both the vigor of a youthful form and the might of a formidable spirit, Reincarnated Sorcerers are known to wield great powers in times of need, punctuating their mystery with an element of unpredictability.
Ancestral Recall
At 1st level, you can tap into the extensive learnings of your original self.
Once per Short or Long Rest, you may cast a spell from the Sorcerer spell list that is not in your Spells Known.
Dormant Sorcery
Through the hidden power of your past life, stamina springs to you when called upon. After gaining the Sorcery Points class feature, you may regain a number of Sorcery Points equal to your Proficiency Bonus upon completing a Short Rest.
You may not use this feature again until you complete a Long Rest.
Mastery of the Hidden Magus
Starting at 6th level, you can reflect upon the abilities of your former self, reaching into the past to borrow from forgotten strengths.
Whenever you complete a Short or Long Rest, you may swap out one of your learned Metamagic options for a different one from the Sorcerer Metamagic list. To use this ability, you must spend at least 30 minutes of the rest in deep reflection.
Legendary Sorcery
At 14th level, your heritage empowers you when summoned, drawing from within yourself the might of legends.
When you cast a Sorcery spell that requires a saving throw, you may spend up to 3 Sorcery Points to increase the Save DC of that spell by 1 for each point spent.
Mythic Channeling
At 18th level, your forgotten power is at the ready.
When you cast a spell of 8th level or lower, you may choose to do so without expending a spell slot. You do not need to have a spell slot available to use this feature.
Once you cast a spell in this way, you must finish a Long Rest before doing so again.
