Druid
Base Class: Druid

Transform into Beasts instead of using spells.

Wild Shape Superiority

When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you forgo all use of spells but you maintain your spell slots. In addition to this, you now use your spell slots to Wild Shape and you do so as a Bonus Action.

When you exit a Wild Shape by this way, either from reaching zero hit points in Wild Shape or voluntary, you suffer damage equal to 10% times number of Spell Slots used.
For example, a second level Druid with 20HP and three 1st level spell slots can Wild Shape into a CR1 beast three times, taking 2 damage each time or they could Wild Shape into a CR3 beast once, taking 6 damage when they exit.

Cantrip transformations are CR less than 1 and you lose no Hit Points on exiting these beast forms.

Circle Forms

The ways of your circle forbid the use of spells instead focusing on communing beasts and grants you the ability to transform into more dangerous animal forms.

Starting at 2nd level, you gain proficiency in Animal Handling if you do not already have it and you can use your Spell Slots to transform into a beast with a challenge rating equal to number of spell slots used (you ignore the Max. CR column of the Beast Shapes table, but must abide by the other limitations there).

You can transform into challenge ratings less than 1 at will, as though using a cantrip.

The use of spell slots to Wild Shape overrides any other uses of Wild Shape from the base Druid source.
