Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

After your capture by the Maimed Virulence, you were chosen personally by Vorgansharax to be one in a long line of experiments to turn a weak, small, lesser being into a dragon. Dragon blood runs through your veins, and the magic of dragons gives you both magical and draconic abilities.

Dragon Blood Transfusion

At 1st level, you choose one type of chromatic dragon blood that you were infused with. The damage type associated with each dragon is used by features you gain later.

Draconic Mutations

As draconic blood flows through you, it creates visible mutations on your body. At 1st level, your hit point maximum increases by 1 and increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class.

Additionally, parts of your skin are covered by a thick layer of dragon-like scales the same color as the dragon whose blood runs through your veins. When you aren’t wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier.

Breath Weapon

At 6th level, the draconic blood in your veins further mutates you, giving you a breath weapon dictated by your chosen blood type and the table below.

Dragon Damage Type Breath Weapon
Black Acid 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Blue Lightning 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Green Poison 15 ft. cone (Con. save)
Red Fire 15 ft. cone (Dex. save)
White Cold

15 ft. cone (Con. save)

Once you've used this weapon, you must complete a long rest before you use it again

Dragon Wings

At 14th level, you gain the ability to sprout a pair of dragon wings from your back, gaining a flying speed equal to your current speed. You can create these wings as a bonus action on your turn. They last until you dismiss them as a bonus action on your turn.

You can’t manifest your wings while wearing armor unless the armor is made to accommodate them, and clothing not made to accommodate your wings might be destroyed when you manifest them.

Dragon Shape

Starting at 18th level, you can assume the mighty form of a dragon for a short period of time. You become the young form of the chosen dragon per your Draconic Blood Transfusion feature for 1 minute. You assume its game statistics with some differences:

  • You retain your alignment, personality, and Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. You also retain all of your skill and saving throw proficiencies, in addition to gaining those of the dragon. If the dragon has the same proficiency as you and the bonus in its stat block is higher than yours, use the dragon’s bonus instead of yours.
  • Your breath weapon has a 12 second cool down.
  • When you transform, your hit points are equal to your proficiency modifier multiplied by your sorcerer level. When you revert to your normal form, you return to the number of hit points you had before you transformed. However, if you revert as a result of dropping to 0 hit points, any excess damage carries over to your normal form. For example, if you take 10 damage in draconic form and have only 1 hit point left, you revert and take 9 damage. As long as the excess damage doesn’t reduce your normal form to 0 hit points, you aren’t knocked unconscious.
  • You can’t cast spells while in this form.  This form also breaks whatever concentration spell you were maintaining.
  • Your equipment falls or is destroyed upon form change.

You can revert to your normal form with an action. Once you use this feature, you must take a long rest before you use it again.
