Bard
Base Class: Bard

For those who study the innate power behind the Draconic tongue.

Words of Power

At 3rd level, you learn to speak, read, and write in Draconic.

In addition, you can ignore somatic components of a spell if that spell also requires a verbal component. You speak Draconic for any spells you cast in such a way for its verbal component.

Shout

You learn the parts of the Draconic language that dragons use for their breath attacks.

At 3rd level, you can use your action to shout in the dragon tongue. Choose between Cold, Fire, Acid, Lightning, or Poison damage. Each creature in a 15ft cone (or a 5 by 30ft long line if you choose Lightning damage) originating from you, must make a Dexterity saving throw (or a Constitution saving throw if you chose Poison damage) against your spell DC or take the chosen damage type equal to two of your inspiration dies + your spellcasting modifier, or half damage on a success. You can use this feature once per long rest, or again by spending a bardic inspiration as part of the action.

At 6th level, the damage die increases to three inspiration die, at 11th level it becomes four inspiration die, and at 16th level it becomes five inspiration die.

Draconic Inspiration

You learn the Draconic words of transmutation and can utilize these arcane words during combat.

At 3rd level, when you give someone a Bardic Inspiration die, you can choose to give them a subtle Draconic aura matching a damage type (Cold, Fire, Lightning, Acid, Poison) making it a Draconic Inspiration die. While they have this Draconic Inspiration die and they roll damage die, they can spend your Draconic Inspiration die and add it to the damage rolled. Then, the damage type of all of their dice rolled changes to the damage type you had chosen, as their Draconic aura is channeled into their strike.

Words of Resistance

At 6th level, while someone has your Draconic Inspiration die, they gain damage resistance to the damage type chosen for the Draconic Inspiration.

Argot Adept

At 14th level, when you use the Shout feature, or when your ally uses the Draconic Inspiration die and rolls to add it to their damage roll, any damage dealt bypasses any of the chosen elements resistance the target may have, as you intertwine words of weakness with your words power.

When you use the Shout feature, you can reroll damage die whose results are one. You must take the new roll(s).

When your ally uses the Draconic Inspiration die and rolls to add it to their damage roll, they can also reroll any damage die whose results are one. They must take the new roll(s).
