Base Class: Rogue
The risk! The pay off! The adrenaline rush! Gamblers bet it all to win big. Sure, sometimes you lose it all, but there is always the next hand. You can always find someone willing to make a wager, and when you play with a Gambler there is never a shortage of luck either...most of the time.
High Rollers Intuition
You gain proficiency in Deception and Insight. Additionally, you gain proficiency in the Playing Card’s Set.
Wager
When you successfully apply Sneak Attack damage you can choose to roll 1d10. If the result is 5 or higher your Sneak Attack d6s become d8s. Otherwise your Sneak Attack damage is negated, and you have disadvantage on the next attack roll you make. At level 9 you may add a +1 to the d10 result. (Your Wager damage increases at 9th level, becoming d10s, and again at 13th level, becoming d12s).
Poker Face
Starting at 9th level, you have advantage on deception, persuasion, and insight checks.
Raise the Stakes!
If you are within 5ft of a creature making a saving throw you can use your reaction to target that creature before they make their roll. If the creature fails the saving throw you may make a melee attack against that target with advantage. If the creature successfully makes the saving throw you do not make an attack. You may only use this feature 2 times before a long rest.
Devil's Luck
Starting at 17th level, when you fail an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw you can flip a coin. On a flip of heads, you succeed on the ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. You can't use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest.
When you use the Wager ability at 17th level and succeed on the d10 roll, the sneak attack die become critical attacks and you may add an extra d12 to the sneak attack damage.
