Base Class: Warlock
Making a pact with the lesser deity Laneth, a necromancer is a creature who plays with the undead. A pact with Laneth is usually a pact made to extend ones life, either yours or anothers. After making the pact, members begin to have domain over cold and undeath, just as the mistress does herself.
This is a modification to the homebrew subclass "the Necromancer" created by warry101. A special thanks to the author and dandwiki.com for some other ideas incorporated as well.
Life Tap
As an action, you can make a melee spell attack against a living creature, dealing necrotic damage equal to 1d8 + your Charisma modifier on a hit. You gain temporary hit points equal to the amount of necrotic damage dealt. If this feature kills the creature, you gain twice as many temporary hit points from using this feature. The damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8). You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier(minimum one) and you regain all uses of this feature at the end of a long rest.
Undead Minion
Using the power of Lenath, you can easily summon undead. You can cast the Animate Dead spell as a cantrip to raise one undead minion. After raising one minion the Animate dead spell acts as the regular spell rather than a cantrip. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher you animate or reassert control over two additional undead creatures for each slot level above 3rd. Each of the creatures must come from a different corpse or pile of bones. You maintain control over 1 minion until it is dismissed or dies and the others for up to 24 hours. You can only cast this as a bonus action if you have no undead summoned at the time of casting and to summon no more than one undead.
Eldritch Claws
Use your bonus action to extend boney, eldritch claws from your hands, unarmed melee attacks now deal 1d10 damage plus your strength modifier. Can be used with the feature "Two Weapon Fighting". It can only be used equal to the amount of your spell casting stat modifier (minimum of 1)
Can be used in undeath.

Curse of Undeath
Starting at 6th level, after your character drops to zero hit points, you can choose between using death saving rolls or this feature. If you choose to use this feature, you do not start the death save rolls, instead, you become an undead creature of the DMs choosing until you kill another creature and steal its life force. While undead you lose all class abilities that aren't specified for undeath, but gain the abilities of that undead creature, if it has any. As an undead, if you are killed, you no longer get death saves (once dropped to zero HP you are dead permanently).
Bond with Laneth
Because of the pact with Laneth, the lesser deity of cold and undeath, starting at 6th level, you gain resistance to necrotic and cold damage.
Life Absorption
Starting at 10th level, in life and in undeath, you gain health equal to half the damage you deal.
if in the state of Undeath (See Curse of Undeath), you gain an amount of health equal to or greater than your maximum hit points, you revert back to your normal self.
Blood Siphon
Using your action you cast blood siphon on a target. The target must make a CON save equal to 10+ your spell casting stat's modifier. On success, nothing happens, but on a fail they are attacked by your energy as the blood seeps out of their body and into you, dealing 1d10 necrotic damage to them, per turn, and heals you for the same amount. The creature can remake the CON save on each of their turns.
