Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who train in the Way of the Lotus learn tap into spiritual power of ones body. Using ones own Chakra in combination with their Ki to push their themselves further, learning techniques that can debilitate or to focus energy into the vitals of their opponents.

Chakra

Starting at 3rd level when you choose this tradition, you have learned to harness your inner spiritual power. Whenever you spend a Ki point, you gain a point of Chakra to which you may spend to enhance or perform certain attacks. There is no limit to the amount of Chakra you may hold, but your Chakra resets to 0 after you take a Long Rest. (Please keep track of these as there doesn't seem to be a way to add Chakra as a resource like Ki)

Debilitating Strike

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your Chakra to disrupt your enemies nervous system. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can spend 1 Chakra point to impose one of the following effects on that target if it fails a Constitution saving throw (Each ability can only be chosen once per turn):

  • It has disadvantage on all attacks it makes on its next turn.
  • Its movement speed becomes half until the end of its next turn.
  • It has disadvantage on the next saving throw it makes. (This disadvantaged cannot be applied towards Debilitating Strike)

Vital Blow

At 6th Level, you can further manipulate your Chakra to empower a blow to a vital point on a foes body. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, before you roll for damage you may spend 5 Chakra Points to triple the damage die. This ability cannot be used if the attack landed a critical hit.

Centering

Starting at 6th level, you learn to center the physical and spiritual forces of your body. If you have not used your Action or Bonus Action, you may spend 2 Chakra Points to regain Ki points equal to 1d4 plus half your monk level. You cannot use your action or bonus action after using this trait, but you may still make your movement.

Step Of The Gale

At 11th level, you are able to use your Chakra to enhance your Step of the Wind. When using Step Of The Wind to Dash, you may spend 3 Chakra points to add 10 feet to your movement, and you move fast enough that enemies are not able to make an attack of opportunity on you if they were not already within melee range.

Nirvana - Seven Fold Release

At 17th level, you can achieve momentary enlightenment during combat, balancing your physical and spiritual forces. During combat, you can spend Chakra Points to use abilities that would normally cost Ki. When combat ends however,  you take 1 point of exhaustion.
