Bonus Damage

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your basic understanding of the weave allows you to add bonus damage equal to your Intelligence modifier + your proficiency bonus to the damage done by your unarmed attacks or by attacks with your monk weapons. The type of damage: either fire, cold, lightening, or thunder, must be declared and can be changed after either a short or long rest. You may also use your Intelligence modifier instead of your Strength or Dexterity modifier on your attack rolls.

Spellcasting

Also at third level your understanding of the weave grants you spell casting abilities. Spells are available to you from the Wizard spell list and like a wizard you must maintain a spell book and regain spell slots as a wizard.

Weave Manipulation

Starting at 6th level, you are able to manipulate an enemies connection to the weave in a subtle fashion. As a reaction, you may expend ki points to reduce the amount of damage from arcana based spells. This reaction can be used to affect spells cast against you or others. Each ki point expended reduces damage by one die. The number of ki points spent must be declared before the damage dice are rolled and before the target rolls their saving throw, if any.

Flow of the Weave

At 11th level, your understanding of the weave gives you the ability to widen or restrict a spellcaster's connection to the weave. As an action, you can expend ki points to either enhance or block a connection to the weave. The number of ki points you spend will determine the number of spell levels you affect. You may expend ki points equal to your half your level rounded down.

By utilizing 5 ki points, you can block access to 5 spell levels, so 5th level, or a 4th and a 1st, or a 2nd and a 3rd. An unwilling target can make a saving throw, utilizing their spell casting ability modifier, against a DC equal to 8 + Int modifier + the number of ki points expended. An ally gains those spell slots in the same fashion. Gained spell slots must be utilized before the end of their next long rest.

Damage Resistance

At 17th level you gain immunity to one type of arcane energy. As a reaction, you can change your resistance by expending 4 ki points. Otherwise, you may change after a short or long rest.
