Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Silence is a solemn vow taken by paladins who harness the power of silence to become masters of stealth and precision. They embrace the idea that actions speak louder than words and use their silence to infiltrate enemy lines undetected, thwart magical incantations, and strike with lethal accuracy.
Tenets of Silence: Paladins who swear the Oath of Silence uphold the following tenets:
-
Wordless Precision: Let your actions be a testament to your devotion, and speak only when silence can no longer serve.
-
Infiltration of Shadows: Embrace the shadows and move unseen to protect the innocent and strike down evil.
-
Dampening Aura: Channel your silence to quell the magic of those who would use it to harm others.
-
Stealthy Vigilance: Be vigilant in your pursuit of justice, and strike swiftly and decisively against evildoers.
Silent Strike
You gain proficiency in Dexterity (Stealth) checks if you don't already have it. Additionally, whenever you take the Attack action while hidden from a creature, you have advantage on your first attack roll against that creature.
Channel Divinity: Focused Assault
Starting at 3rd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to enter a state of heightened focus and precision. As an action, you can activate Focused Assault. When you do so, you gain the following benefits for 3 Rounds:
-
Precise Strikes: While in this state, you can make a single melee weapon attack against each creature of your choice that you can see within a 5-foot radius of you, up to a number of attacks equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1). Roll a separate attack roll for each target.
-
Silent Step: During this state, your movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity, and you can move through the area without making any sound or triggering traps or hazards that rely on sound or pressure plates.
Once you use this Channel Divinity feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Cloak of Shadows
At level 7, You become adept at blending into the shadows and slipping past enemies unnoticed. As a bonus action, you can magically become invisible for up to 1 minute. This invisibility ends early if you make an attack or cast a spell. You can use this feature once, and you regain the ability to use it again after finishing a long rest.
Aura of Hush
At level 15, Your mere presence dampens the magical abilities of those around you. Within a 15-foot radius of you, enemy spellcasters have disadvantage on concentration checks made for spells. Additionally, you and friendly creatures within the aura have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.
Whispers of Eternity
At 20th level, your connection to silence transcends mortal boundaries. As an action, you can enter a state of pure serenity and divine focus known as "Whispers of Eternity." For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
-
Silent Aegis: You gain resistance to all damage.
-
Unseen Presence: You become invisible and can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. You take no damage or effects from passing through them, and they cannot feel your presence.
-
Echoing Retribution: Whenever you take damage from an attack while Whispers of Eternity is active, the attacker takes radiant damage equal to half the damage they dealt to you (rounded down). This radiant damage ignores resistances and immunities.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
