Way of the Geisha

Monks of the Way of the Geisha are dedicated to the traditional arts. They put their talents to use entertaining customers on the occasion of banquets and performances. Geisha are also skilled in the art of seduction, able to charm their patrons through conversation, song, and dance. A traveling geisha may enjoy pretending to be an innocent willow or an alluring flower, but in battle, a geisha's training and enchanting beauty transforms them into a fierce fighter.

 

Traditional Arts

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the Performance skill if you don't already have it. You also gain proficiency with two instruments of your choice.

Enchanting Presence

At 3rd level, you can spend 1 ki point to charm a target for 1 minute. They must make a Wisdom saving throw against your Ki save DC. If they fail, they are charmed. If they succeed or once the effect ends, they are immune to this feature for 24 hours.

Opportunistic Appeal

Starting at 6th level, you can exploit openings created by your graceful movement. While you are under the effect of the Step of the Wind or Patient Defense, when a creature within your reach makes an attack roll and misses, you can use your reaction to make an unarmed strike against that creature.

Breathtaking Beauty

At 11th level, you can cast Dominate Person for 3 ki points, or Modify Memory for 4 ki points.

Captivating Performance

At 17th level, as an action, you can perform a captivating dance or display of artistry. Choose a number of creatures within 30 feet of you that you can see. Each chosen creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your monk spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature is charmed by you for one minute or until it takes damage. While charmed in this way, the creature has its speed reduced to 0 and is incapacitated. It can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a successful save.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses after a long rest.

Inexplicable Beauty

At 17th level, your serene aura extends to influence the minds of others. You passively turn immunity to charm into resistance, resistance into normal, and normal into disadvantage.
