Yamato Samurai are honorable and loyal warriors who serve their masters with unwavering devotion. These paladins adhere to a strict code of honor called Bushido, which guides their actions both in battle and in everyday life. They are masters of the art of the sword and are known for their ability to face overwhelming challenges with courage and determination.

  • Respect: Treat others with fairness and dignity.
  • Loyalty: Be true to your lord, your comrades, and your duty.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Sacred Weapon: As an action, you can imbue one weapon that you are holding with positive energy, using your Channel Divinity. For 1 minute, you add your Charisma modifier to attack rolls made with that weapon. The weapon also emits bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light 20 feet beyond that. This light is sunlight.

Warrior's Challenge: As a bonus action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer of challenge, using your Channel Divinity. Choose one creature within 60 feet of you that can see or hear you. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is drawn to you, compelled by your divine demand. For the next minute, or until you fall unconscious or die, it has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you, and must make a Wisdom saving throw each time it attempts to move to a space that is more than 30 feet away from you.

Armor of Honor

Starting at 7th level, while you are not wearing armor and are not incapacitated, your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier.

Righteous Fury

At 15th level, when you hit a creature with an attack with your holy weapon, you can spend a paladin spell slot to deal additional radiant damage to the target. The additional damage is 1d8 per level of the spell slot, up to a maximum of 5d8.

Unbreakable Spirit

At 20th level, you can assume the form of an unbreakable spirit, capable of facing the most difficult challenges with relentless determination. Upon reaching level 20, you can assume the form of an Avatar of Honor and Justice for 1 minute. While in this form, you gain the following benefits:

  • You have resistance to all damage.
  • Your attacks with your holy weapon deal additional radiant damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
  • You can use your reaction to halve the damage an ally within 30 feet of you takes from an attack.

Once you have used this feature, you will not be able to use it again until you complete a long rest.
