Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Your bloodline has been mixed throughout the various planes of existence so thoroughly that you have become able to utilize and draw magic from them. This power that courses through you allows to walk between realms and exert your influence upon others from afar.

The powers of Planar Born are not fast to appear, and typically take decades, if not centuries, to culminate. Because of this, there is not much known about Planar Born, and many discount their existence entirely, allowing them to exert their will rather freely.

Ethereal Magic

Starting at 1st level, you learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Ethereal Spells table. Each spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. These spells can’t be replaced when you gain a level in this class.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be an abjuration or a illusion spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list.

Picking and Choosing

Also starting at 1st level, because of your exposure to magic from various sources, you have the ability to ignore certain aspects of a spell, and can change spells with a range of self, to 60 feet, so long as the new target is within your sight. The chosen spell must be from the schools of abjuration or illusion, and this feature can only be used equal to half your sorcerer level, for a minimum of 1.

Inciting Gaze

Starting at 6th level, whenever a friendly creature within 60 feet of uses all of its movement on its turn, you can use your reaction to grant them additional movement equal to one and half times their normal movement speed. This feature can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier.

As Above So Below

Starting at 14th level, you gain the ability to gaze into the other planes at will, and draw from them directly. Roll a d100, and depending on what you roll, you may summon a creature from one of the various planes of existence. The summoned creature can be no higher than a rating of one half your sorcerer level, rounded down, on the CR table. This feature can only be used once per long rest.

Intersticial Traveler

Starting at 18th level, you gain the ability to walk in the interstice between planes. For 1 minute you gain the ability to shed your mortal tether and enter the boundary beyond your plane. From there you are capable of observing and interacting with the plane from which you just came, although you do leave behind a small mote that acts as a stand in for where your body once was. Almost imperceptible, a creature must succeed on an intelligence check against your spell save DC to be able to target the mote. While in this form, you become immune to nonmagical attacks, although any attacks that attack the space of the mote also damage you, and you become vulnerable to psychic damage. While in this form you may choose to move your mote as you would move your body, and any ranged attacks made must be done so within range of the mote. You cannot use this feature again until you finish a long rest, unless if you spend an additional 7 sorcery points.
