Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who follow the Way of the Mountain Adept have trained in the harsh conditions of Mount Tenma in Yamato. They have learned to channel their inner strength and harness the power of the elements in their unarmed strikes, making them formidable opponents in any battle.

Elemental Strikes

At 3rd level, your mastery of the elements enhances your martial prowess. When you use your Flurry of Blows, you can choose to infuse your strikes with the power of cold, fire, or lightning. Your unarmed strikes deal additional damage of the chosen type equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Unyielding Earth

By 6th level, you have learned to draw upon the resilience of the earth itself. As a bonus action, you can spend 2 ki points to gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks for 1 minute.

Elemental Step

At 11th level, your connection to the elements allows you to adopt their form. As a bonus action, you can spend 3 ki points to cast the spell gaseous form on yourself, taking on the appearance of a swirling cloud of your chosen element from your Elemental Strikes feature.

Master of the Elements

By 17th level, you have achieved a deep understanding of the elements and can unleash their full power upon your enemies. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 4 ki points to force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes an additional 10d10 damage of the type chosen for your Elemental Strikes and suffers an additional effect based on the damage type:

  • Cold: The creature's speed is reduced to 0 until the start of your next turn.
  • Fire: The creature is set ablaze and takes 1d10 fire damage at the start of its turn for 1 minute or until it or a creature within 5 feet of it uses an action to extinguish the flames.
  • Lightning: The creature is stunned until the start of your next turn.
