Base Class: Bard
Though there are many Bards that diligently stick to their Lutes and Lyres, there are the rare few who instead look for a more Practical use for their Talents. That of the College of Commerce. Those who follow this College are known for their Skills in Bartering and Trade while still sticking to their Roots.
Commerce Experience
3rd-level College of Eloquence feature
You are known for having an Eye for Treasure and a Tongue for getting Customers to listen to you. Passively, when you make a Charisma (Persuasion) Check you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10. Actively, You are able to cast the Spell Identify on a Object once per Short or Long Rest.
Using Identify in this way gives you additional knowledge on the Object's Worth and Materials.
Fortune's Promise
3rd-level College of Commerce feature
You understand that Money can do wonderous things. Your Instrument can take the Form of a Golden Coin with a Emblem of your Chosen Instrument. The Coin itself can play Melodies and Spells you've performed on your Instrument. Speaking a Custom Command Word will reshape the Coin into your Instrument or back into a Coin.
Whenever you use Bardic Inspiration, the Target is blessed by Fortune's Promise. When they Succeed a Roll made with it, they gain Temporary Hit Points equaling the Number Rolled on their Die + your Charisma Modifier. These Hit Points last until a Short Rest or Long Rest.
Deal Breaker
6th-level College of Commerce feature
When a Target within Sight Casts a Spell or Ability that forces You or an Ally to make a Saving Throw, you can use a Reaction to use and add your Bardic Inspiration to Yourself or an Ally. Additionally, when an Enemy makes a Saving Throw against a Spell or Ability You can see and Succeeds, You can use your Reaction to Subtract their Saving Throw with your Bardic Inspiration Die; potentially turning it into a Failure.
When an Ally Succeeds on their Saving Throw, they gain Benefits from Fortune's Promise.
Financial Aid
6th-level College of Commerce feature
Your Golden Coin become imbued with your Spirit for Wealth. As a Bonus Action, you may fling the Coin to hover over a Ally within 30 ft. of you. The Coin can cast Spells as if you were in it's place and provides Temporary Hit Points to your Ally on the end of your turn. When an Ally fails a Saving Throw that would Damage them while your Coin is hovering over them, you can choose to allow the coin to absorb the attack instead; Destroying it in the process. The amount of Temporary Hit Points given equals to your Level + your Charisma Modifier.
The Coin gains an AC of 10 + your proficiency bonus and has 1 Hit Point. The Coin is Immune to Spells that would cause a Saving Throw against it unless it is instructed to absorb one for your Ally. When the Coin is Destroyed, your Coin will return to your Hand in a Cracked State until you make a Short or Long Rest to regain this Feature.
Abundant Wealth
14th-level College of Commerce feature
Your Soul for Commerce has unleashed a Bountiful Wealth on your Allies. Phantasmal Glittering Gold Showers from above your allies as it fades away gently on the ground. Allies within 60 ft. of you Roll Two Bardic Inspiration Die without cost. Once they roll their Die, they gain Temporary Hit Points that is the amount rolled + your Proficiency Bonus + your Charisma Modifier. The amount is Doubled.
Your Coin additionally gains Temporary Benefits until it is Broken or Combat Ends. When it would be Destroyed by an Attack or Absorption, it instead forms itself back with Gold, granting itself a second life. When an Ally is dealt a killing blow with the Coin hovering over them, they Instead drop to 1 Hit Point, causing to Coin to break no matter what. When the Coin breaks in this way, the Ally gains Inspiration.
This Feature is regained after a Long Rest.
