Base Class: Paladin
Tenets of the Guardian
A guardian is, at their core, a protector. They will do anything and everything to defend what has been sworn under their protection as their charge. Whether that is an ideal, a land, a person or even a treasure is unimportant. At all costs, the Guardian must defend.
Honesty. A promise made is a promise kept. Never make oaths that you will break and always uphold that your word is your bond. A lie flies in the face of what we defend.
Courage. You must be willing to do what needs to be done for the sake of defending those you have sworn to protect, even in the face of overwhelming odds. If you don't act, then who will?
Sacrifice. There will come times when personal sacrifice is necessary to protect your ideals. It is a great honor to give for the cause.
More Than a Shield
Taking this Oath at third level grants you proficiency in the use of shields as more than just a defense. You may use shields as a weapon even if it is not specifically designed to. Each shield has a specific damage dice unless enchanted in some way and most deal bludgeoning damage unless otherwise stated below.

Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Warding Comet. As an action, as long as you have at least 20 ft of movement remaining, you charge headlong at an enemy creature. Doing so causes you to become a radiant streak of light and the target as well as hostile creatures that you pass within 10 feet of must make a Constitution Saving Throw or be Stunned for one round. Additionally they all take 2d10+your paladin level in radiant damage and the target can only target you or must succeed on a WIS save to target another creature.
Holy Defense. As an action you may present your holy symbol and seek holy aid to protect something you swear to guard. For one minute or until you fall unconscious, creatures have disadvantage to make attack rolls against what you have sworn to defend.
Oath Spells
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Aura of Heroic Sacrifice
While you are conscious and a friendly creature is within 10 ft. you can use your reaction to take any damaging attack roll or damage from a failed saving throw after the DM has stated that they failed the save or that the attack has hit but before damage has been rolled. You take the full amount of damage and they take none, even from area of effect spells as you have shielded them with your body.
At 18th level the aura's range increases to 30 ft. and you only take half damage from these attacks.
Divine Shield
Beginning at 15th level, you are always under the effects of a shield of faith spell.
Guardian Angel
At 20th level, as an action, light springs from your back that resembles wings for one hour and you gain a +10 to your movement speed, you shed radiant light out for 30 ft.
Whenever an ally creature is healed in the radius of this aura they gain an additional 10 hp on top of the hitpoints they already heal.
In addition, for the duration, if you use your Aura of Heroic Sacrifice reaction ability you can instead choose to take the full damage from the enemy's attack in order to cause a rebound of radiant energy that deals twice as much of that damage to the original attacker.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
