When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Arcana skill if you don't already have it.
Portal Time
At 3rd level, you develop the ability to summon portals. At the cost of 1 ki point, you can summon 2 portals. The first portal appears in the closest unoccupied space to you, while the second portal appears in the closest unoccupied space of a creature you can see within 30 feet. You may use these portals to make an unarmed attack on the creature.
Portal Step
Additionally, at 3rd level, you gain the ability to use Portal Step. When you use Portal Step, as a bonus action, you can teleport up to 30 ft. to an unoccupied space you can see. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier per long rest.
Better Portal Time
At 6th level, the power of your portals grows. At the cost of 2 ki points, you can summon 2 portals. The first portal appears in the closest unoccupied space to you, while the second portal appears in the closest unoccupied space of an creature you can see within 30 feet. You can use these portals to make an attack on the creature with your Monk Weapon.
Even Better Portal Time
At 11th level, the power of your portals grows. At the cost of 4 ki points, you can summon 2 portals. The first portal appears in the closest unoccupied space to you, while the second portal appears in the closest unoccupied space of a creature you can see within 30 feet. You can use these portals to make an attack on the creature with your Monk Weapon.
Additionally, this portal lasts longer, and is larger. This portal stays open until the end of your next turn. Any creature can make an attack action through the portal. If the creature is size Small or smaller, it may also pass through the portal unharmed. It appears at the other portal without using any additional movement.
Best Portal Time
At 17th level, the power of your portals grows. At the cost of 6 ki points, you can summon 2 portals. The first portal appears in the closest unoccupied space to you, while the second portal appears in the closest unoccupied space of a creature you can see within 60 feet. You can use these portals to make an attack on the creature with your Monk Weapon.
Additionally, this portal lasts longer, and is larger. This portal stays open for 1 minute. Any creature can make an attack action through the portal. If the creature is size Medium or smaller, it may also pass through the portal unharmed. It appears at the other portal without using any additional movement.
As the cost of 1 ki point, you may attempt to grapple a creature on the other side of the portal. If you succeed on the grapple roll, you can pull the creature through the portal towards you.
