Wind Striders are a breed of fighters who move like the wind, evade like a breeze, and attack like a gale.

Run Like The Wind

Beginning when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain +15 bonus walking speed.

With The Breeze

Starting at 7th level, on rolls that involve you either taking half damage or dodging an attack you may add your proficiency bonus to that roll, you may also add +3 to initiative rolls.

Whirlwind Wings

At 10th level, you gain +5 bonus walking speed and you gain flying speed equal to your walking speed.

Warrior of the Wind

Starting at 15th level, you may choose one of the following skills of your choice.

  • Gale Vortex. As an action, you summon a vortex of suction made of wind to reel your enemies in. All creatures in an area 25 ft.(l) by 5 ft.(w) cone in a direction you choose are dragged to 5 ft. in front of you and take 2d6 slashing damage from the violent winds.
  • Tempest Slash. As an bonus action, you imbue your blade with the powers of the tempest. Your next melee attack deals an extra 3d8 slashing damage.
  • Forced Evasion. As an reaction, you summon a blast of wind at yourself to evade an attack. You make a Dexterity saving throw: on a successful throw you dodge the attack, on a failed throw you take the attack's full damage.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Warning! This is not effective on AOE attacks.
Forced Evasion

If you choose this feature, you gain the following skill.

  • Forced Evasion. As an reaction, you summon a blast of wind at yourself to evade an attack. You make a Dexterity saving throw: on a successful throw you dodge the attack, on a failed throw you take the attack's full damage.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Warning! This is not effective on AOE attacks.

You may use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Gale Vortex

If you choose this feature, you gain the following skill.

Wind Strider

At 18th level, you attain the pinnacle of movement. You gain the following benefits.

  • +20 bonus walking speed
  • +5 to Dexterity ability checks
  • Advantage on Dexterity saving throws
  • Add you proficiency bonus to attacking and damage rolls if you have moved on your turn.
