Base Class: Blood Hunter
The Order of the Sanguine are blood hunters that have mastered the art of hemocraft by subjecting themselves to becoming vampires and drinking blood to gain full control over it. Only vampires are capable of joining the order, and as such the initiation process ends with the hunter being turned by the head of their chapter. Sanguine blood hunters seek to destroy evil by accepting it unto themselves, much like the Order of the Profane Soul, but have rigid bylaws to prevent their members from harming the living. The Order of the Sanguine commonly avoids interacting with the Order of the Ghostslayer due to their undead nature.
Bloodthirsty Smite
When you join this order at 3rd level, you learn to channel your hemocraft into your Crimson Rite, drawing the blood of your enemies to you instantaneously. When you hit a creature with a weapon on which your Crimson Rite feature is active, you can expend a use of your Blood Maledict feature. If you do, roll one of your hemocraft die and add the result as necrotic damage to the attack, and you regain hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt by this feature.
Hemocraft Mastery
Starting at 3rd level, you learn to master blood curses and your use of blood. You gain an additional use of your Blood Maledict feature. In addition, once per long rest, you can spend a bonus action to recover a number of uses of your Blood Maledict feature equal to your hemocraft ability modifier.
Step of the Sangromancer
Upon reaching 7th level, you can magically disassemble your body into a bloody mist and instantaneously reconstitute in another location. As a bonus action, you can magically teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.
Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again. You can use Step of the Sangromancer twice between long rests starting at 15th level.
Blood Curse of Sanguis Vitae
At 7th level, you've learned to manipulate the flow of blood within another creature's body without even needing to extract it, and bend their movements to your will. You gain the Blood Curse of Sanguis Vitae for your Blood Maledict feature. This doesn’t count against your number of blood curses known.
Blood Curse of Sanguis Vitae
As a bonus action, you bend the blood of a creature that you can see within 30 feet of you. Until the start of your next turn, the creature's AC is lowered by 1.
Amplify. The target's AC is instead lowered by the amount you rolled on your hemocraft die to amplify this curse.
Brand of Bloodletting
Starting at 11th level, your Brand of Castigation weakens your foe's life force and leaves them vulnerable to your Bloodthirsty Smite. Whenever you use your Bloodthirsty Smite feature on a creature bearing your Brand of Castigation, you roll two hemocraft dice instead of one when determining the extra necrotic damage you deal (and subsequently the amount of hit points you regain).
Vision of Scarlet
At 15th level, your uncanny ability to seek out blood has been honed to a sixth sense. You can sense the location of any creature that has blood within 30 feet of you, regardless of any amount of cover or magical effects such as illusions or invisibility that would conceal those creatures from your sight.
Aura of the Hunger
Your mastery over the blood of other creatures has reached it's peak with a deadly wave you can emit to drain the blood from a creature without inflicting any wounds upon it. You may use a bonus action to make each creature of your choice that has blood within 30 feet of you take 1d10 necrotic damage. You regain hit points equal to the sum of the necrotic damage dealt.
Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.
