Base Class: Barbarian
the primal soul of a dragon grants its beastly rage unto the wielder, how one has come to be in possession of a dragon soul within them is now a trivial matter, for the burning power now pulses through the very veins of the warrior, granting them a rage like no other, though their own body may bear the cost of its elemental strength. when picking this subclass one must choose a dragon whose soul shares their body, the element of that dragon will be the damage type used in all nonphysical abilities.
Draconic Aspect
3rd-level Path of the Dragon's Rage feature
When you enter your rage, you can transform, revealing the Draconic power within you. Until the rage ends, you manifest a natural weapon. It counts as a simple melee weapon for you, and you add your Strength modifier to the attack and damage rolls when you attack with it, as normal. At level 5 growing draconic power allows the user to manifest 2 natural weapons at once, at level 10 all three can be manifest and at level 12 one can manifest a single natural weapon of their choice outside of rage.
You choose the weapon’s form each time you rage:
Bite. Your mouth transforms and you gain Draconic fangs. It deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you damage a creature with this bite you regain a number of hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.
Claws. Each of your hands transforms into a scaly claw, which you can use as a weapon if it’s empty. It deals 1d6 slashing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you attack with a claw using the Attack action, you can make one additional claw attack as part of the same action.
Tail. You grow a lashing, scally tail with a blade at its tip, which deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit and has the reach property. If a creature you can see within 10 feet of you hits with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to swipe your tail and roll a d8, applying a bonus to your AC or the AC of a creature within range equal to the number rolled, potentially causing the attack to miss.
Draconic Intensity
6th-level Path of the Dragon's Rage
The elemental power of the dragon within you increases, causing the natural weapons of your Draconic Aspect to become imbued with elemental energy and count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
You can also intensify this elemental power in battle causing your next attack with your natural weapons to deal 1d4 extra elemental damage a number of times equal to your 1 + constitution modifier per long or short rest.
This ability can also add elemental damage to an unarmed strike or metallic weapon attack outside of rage, dealing 1d4 elemental damage to yourself while applying the elemental effect to the attack.
Dragon's Breath
10th-level Path of the dragon rage feature
As the raging dragon within nears being able to fully manifest into your body you gain access to what was once its most powerful weapon. you gain an elemental breath attack.
As an action all creatures in a 30ft cone must make a dexterity saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your Constitution modifier), taking (3 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus d6) damage on a failed save, or half on a successful one.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Unstable Wings
14th-level Path of the Dragon's Rage feature
The Dragon within you grows so powerful that you can allow wings made from their element to burst from your back dealing you 1d6 elemental damage upon activation and every subsequent turn the wings are active if not in rage. The wings give you new abilities both in and out of combat but require concentration, damage taken from the ability itself will require a concentration roll.
- you gain a fly speed the same as your movent your movement speed, taking the dash action in the air will cause you to take 1d6 elemental damage and roll a concentration save, in or out of rage, if failed the wings will explode dealing another 1d6 elemental damage and causing you to fall in the air.
- you gain a wingbeat attack that can be taken as a bonus action dealing 2d6 + constitution modifier elemental damage to every creature of your choice within a 10-foot radius in or out of the air.
