Base Class: Monk
Followers of the Way of the Soul Made Real understand that Ki is the very essence of the soul, and that with enough training, it can be made to walk the earth. They learn how to project an avatar of their soul which can attack enemies, move objects, and even peer into the hearts and minds of others. With enough training, the soul and the body of the monk who projects it enter complete harmony, acting seemingly independent, but always intertwined.
Soul Made Real
Starting at 3rd level, you learn to project your soul into a physical avatar, which takes any humanoid form that you choose. Your avatar's size is the same as yours.
You can use a bonus action and spend a Ki point to create the avatar, which persists for one minute, or until you become incapacitated, and must always remain within 30 feet of you. Your avatar has a walking speed equal to yours, but hovers above the ground gently. Your avatar's Wisdom, Intelligence, Charisma, and Constitution scores are equal to yours. Your avatar's Strength and Dexterity scores are equal to your respective scores plus your proficiency bonus and Wisdom modifier. For example, if you are a level 3 monk with a Strength score of 12, Dexterity score of 12, and Wisdom score of 14, your avatar's Strength score is 16, and its Dexterity score is 16.
When you enter combat, your avatar acts on your initiative. You and your avatar can move independently, but any actions you take must be made by either you or your avatar. Any reaction your avatar takes uses your reaction. For example, your avatar can move up to its speed, you can move up to your speed, your avatar can take the Attack action, and then using a bonus action you can make an unarmed strike. When your avatar attacks, it makes unarmed strikes using your martial arts die, but using its attack and damage bonus.
Your avatar shares your armor class, has an indefinite number of hit points, and you take half of any damage it takes as psychic damage. This damage cannot be reduced in any way.
In addition, your avatar can make Strength ability checks and saving throws for you, if it is within 5 feet of you.
Soul Sight
Starting at 6th level, you can use your avatar to glimpse beyond the natural world.
You may use an action and spend a Ki point to gain one or more of the following benefits:
You can see into the ethereal plane up to a range of 60 feet for 30 minutes.
You have advantage on your next Wisdom (Insight) check made within 1 minute.
You have advantage on your next Wisdom (Perception) check made within 1 minute.
Perfect Harmony
Starting at 17th level, you and your avatar begin to act independently of one another.
When you act in combat, you and your avatar can both take an action, bonus action, and reaction every turn.
Relentless Soul
Starting at 11th level, you can motivate your avatar into a furious attack rush.
When you spend a Ki point and your avatar benefits from your Flurry of Blows feature, you may spend 2 additional Ki points to make it attack 4 times, instead of 2. You cannot use this feature again until you complete a short or long rest.
