Base Class: Fighter
The darkin... God warriors now reduced to the confines of their prisons: The weapons they once wielded in battle. Their fighting style is brutal and bloody, and you are one who has decided to emulate their style.
Deathbringer Stance
Upon choosing this archetype at 3rd level, you begin to infuse your strikes with your very essence. When you hit with a weapon attack, you may expend a Fighter hit die to cause your attack to deal an additional 1d6 necrotic damage.
You regain HP equal to the necrotic damage dealt, any excess healing is turned into temporary HP.
Lesser Hemocraft
Additionally at 3rd level, your minor usage of blood magic has given you some unique properties. Whenever you finish a long rest, you recover all of your expended hit dice, rather than only half.
Additionally, you no longer age. If you have not killed a blooded creature within the past 7 days, you resume to age as normal.
Umbral Dash
Beginning at 7th level, you begin to move around the battlefield to better absorb the blood of your enemies. Immediately after using Second Wind or Action Surge, you may move up to half your movement speed without provoking attacks of opportunity.
After using this feature, the next time you use Deathbringer Stance, it deals an additional 1d6 necrotic damage.
Desperate Measures
Once you reach 10th level, you learn that desperate times call for desperate measures. When you receive healing while below or at half your hit point maximum, you can choose to double the healing received.
If you use this feature, you have disadvantage on attack rolls until the start of your next turn.
You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (Minimum of 1) and you regain all expended uses upon completing a long rest.
Lasting Stance
At 15th level, you learn how to better preserve the blood magic you wield. Whenever you use Deathbringer Stance, you may roll 1d4. On a roll of 4, you regain the hit die expended.
World Ender
Finally at 18th level, you have managed to achieve a state even the darkin would respect... The world ender.
As a bonus action on your turn, you may enter the World Ender state for 1 minute. Alternatively, you may enter it as a reaction to being reduced to 0 HP or killed, upon which you are instead reduced to 1 HP.
While in the World Ender state, you gain the following benefits:
- All healing you receive is doubled.
- Your Deathbringer Stance deals an additional die of damage.
- If you kill a blooded creature while in this state, the duration is extended by 1 round (6seconds) the total duration cannot exceed 1 minute however.
- If you would be reduced to 0 HP or killed while in this state, you may instead end the state early. If you do so, you restore HP equal to half your hit point maximum
Once this feature ends, you are unable to use it again until you complete a long rest.
