Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The Dragoon, known for their prowess with a spear and the like, have commanded respect on the battlefield for millennia. These fearsome warriors often take the front lines, breaking shield walls with their ability to jump high into the air an descend on their foes with immense force. The dragoons also have the blood of dragons coursing through their veins and can even give boon to their allies with dragon sight.

Battle Litany

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain mastery of the Spear, Halberd, Lance, and Pike. While wielding one of these weapons with two hands, you gain a +1 bonus to AC.

Additionally, once per turn, you may gain one of the following benefits:

- Advantage on attacks made with a Polearm weapon until the end of your next turn.
- Jumping does not provoke attacks of opportunity until the start of your next turn.
- Prepare for incoming attacks, raising your AC by an additional +1 until the start of your next turn.

You can use this feature three times, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Jump Mastery

Jumping comes naturally to all Dragoons. Starting at 7th level, you may spend one charge of your Battle Litany to cast Jump on yourself, as a bonus action.

Additionally, you gain some additional force behind attacks made at the end of your jumps. When you land an attack with your Spear, Pike, Lance, or Halberd, you may add an additional 1d4 per 20 feet traveled through the air to the damage of the attack.

Greater Battle Litany

Starting at 10th level, you gain an additional charge of Battle Litany, and you may now regain one charge of Battle Litany after completing a short rest.

Eyes of the Dragon

Starting at 15th level, you gain an empowerment that allows you to flow your strength into a fellow warrior. Choose an ally and bestow the Left Eye of the Dragon to them, taking the Right Eye for yourself. For the next 10 minutes, you both gain advantage to weapon attack rolls. For the duration of the effect, your weapon attacks also score critical hits on a roll of 19 or 20. Additionally, if you or the ally affected by Eyes of the Dragon hits two successive melee weapon attacks on one enemy during their turn, the other may immediately use a reaction to make a melee weapon attack against the same enemy. The effect ends early if either Eye moves more than 20 feet away from the other, or if either holder falls unconscious.

This feature may only be used once per long rest, and you cannot choose the same person twice within 48 hours, or they will immediately gain 3 levels of exhaustion.

The Dragon Awakened

Starting at 18th level, you gain the ability to call on the full power of the dragon within, Awakening the ancient rage of the Dragon-kind within you.

For one minute, gain the following benefits:

You have the effects of the Jump spell
You do not take falling damage from any height
You have resistance against Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage from non-magical weapons

While in your Awoken state, having 0 hit points does not knock you unconscious. You still must make death saving throws, and you suffer the normal effects of taking damage while at 0 hit points. However, if you would die due to failing death saving throws, you don’t die until your awoken form ends, and you die then only if you still have 0 hit points.

Once this effect has been used, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.
