Originating in Holong the Way of the Broken Bough was originally developed as a method to stand toe-to-toe with the terrifying oni that terrorized the region's population, indescriminately hunting and devouring for sport and fun. Utilizing staggering blows made with heavy cudgels, practitioners of the Way of the Broken Bough are relentless foes easily marked by their intimidating weapons.

Practitioners of the Way of the Broken Bough are often wandering monks who seek to rid vulnerable communities of the monsters that threaten them, much as their predecessors did in ancient Holong. Others may be hermits that live ascetic lives in seclusion, only using their might to defend their homes. Only rarely do walkers of this way gather in monestaries, the most prominent example being a small non- descript school in Kouhchoi, Holong's capital city, which was founded by the first student of the tradition's founder.

Hammering Blows

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level the greatclub and maul are considered monk weapons for you. When you successfully deal bludgeoning damage to a creature with a monk weapon, you can use your bonus action to make an additional attack with the same weapon. On a hit, the weapon deals damage as if its damage die were halved (1d8 become 1d4, 2d6 becomes 1d6) and the target is either moved 10 feet directly away from you or knocked prone. If a target moved away from you strikes a solid surface such as a wall it takes additional bludgeoning damage equal to your Strength modifier.

Oni Kata- Cursed Strike

At 6th level you've mastered the style practiced by the ancient oni hunters that founded your discipline. Attacks you make with greatclubs and mauls are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage, and ignore resistance to bludgeoning damage. Additionally, when you use you make an attack using a greatclub or maul and use your Stunning Strike, you may impose disadvantage on the Constitution saving throw.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Strength modifier (a minimum of once.) You regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

Rattled Skull

Starting at 11th level When you attack a creature with a monk weapon or unarmed attack and the number rolled on the d20 is 15 or above, the target has disadvantage on attacks made against you until the end of its next turn.

Sweeping Cudgle

At 17th level When you hit a creature with a greatclub or maul on your turn, you can spend I ki point to make an additional attack against another creature adjacent to you. You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative
