Way of the Golden Lotus

  Monks of the Golden Lotus believe that all living things have seasons just like nature and there are phases in our lives reflective of these seasons (a spring of our childhood, a summer of our young adult lives, etc.)  Only through the teachings of their philosophy can we ever hope to all we must do with our lives.  Just like every season is nessessary to complete the year's cycle, every season of out lives are needed to complete out life's cycle.  These monks build elaborate gardens consisting of greenery, flowing water, stone, and sculpture.  In the center of these gardens can be found a central pool with lotus flowers floating on the surface.  

  In these gardens they train their bodies and minds to become one with inner peace and the forces of nature.  Their training consists with daily exercises that build, cultivate, and meditate within these gardens to achieve an inner understanding of nature.  Each student will have their own lotus flower that they are personally responsible for in addition ot their other training and duties within the garden.  Somehow the masters of this technique can determine how well the student is progressing with their studies by how beautiful their flower is being maintained.

Teachings of the Golden Lotus

3rd level Way of the Golden Lotus feature

  The Disciple of the Golden Lotus will attain proficiency in nature skill and a herbalism kit.  In addition to this they can also rely on the wisdom and guidance that is shared by every member of their order.  Using this guidance, they can focus and gain advantage on any animal handling, history, insight, medicine, or religion skill roll by spending a point of Ki to attain this level of focus.

Eyes of the Inner Spirit

6th level Way of the Golden Lotus feature

  The monk will bond with the inner-glow of the Golden Lotus itself. They can no longer be surprised while outdoors. Additionally they can activate an inner-glow by spending a Ki point.  This glow will reflect and allow them to see any invisible opponents within 15 feet of them for 1 minute.  Although their inner-glow reveals invisible opponents to them, it does not allow their allies or others to see them.  Others must find a way to reveal such opponents themselves.

Eloquence

6th level Way of the Golden Lotus feature

  The monk has been taught through ceremonies, instruction, and discipline, to be very good with your words.  This will now add their Wisdom modifier to all their Charisma-based skills (Deception, Intimidation, Persuasion, and Performance.)

One With the Golden Lotus

11th level Way of the Golden Lotus feature

  A monk of the Golden Lotus gains the ability to flow with grace of a lotus flower dancing on a pond. They can use this ability three times per long rest and it requires a bonus action to activate. This ability lasts for 1-minute and will allow the monk to temporarily add their proficiency bonus to their armor class and initiative.  This ability (while active) will also allow the monk to make all saving throws vs being restrained or grappled at advantage.

Bond to the Lotus Garden

17th level Way of the Golden Lotus feature

  The monk gains the ability to rest in a pocket dimension of their home garden.  The monk can summon the equivalent of a Tiny Hut spell, but inside of the hut will be a pocket dimension resembling (and getting it's energy from,) your home garden itself.  The monk and his allies can sleep inside the pocket dimension without anyone outside of it being aware that anyone or anything is even there.  The outside of the dome-hut will blend with its surroundings.  For all other purposes, this ability acts like a Tiny Hut spell.  After the monk exit's the hut, they will not be able to summon it again until a full day has passed.
