Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Devils are entities of business

Those seeking forbidden knowledge or arcane strength may petition a Devil for power, generally in exchange for something such as their soul or other such service. Even if one may think they've returned from one such deal unscathed, the Fiendish powers of hell have forever tainted them.

Generally, such an agreement may otherwise produce a humanoid of devilish inclination. Tieflings, born out of a deal with a Fiend, or Cambions, born from the Union of Devils and Mortals. Both are such examples.

But sometimes, such an agreement may have unintended effects. Sometimes, the fiendish powers corrupt the bloodline furthermore. These are the origins of Infernal Sorcerers. A man clad in black armor wielding an enflamed sword presenting a contract written in blood. A woman in a cloak, drawing upon her magical reserves to conjure up lower devils entirely subservient to her. Whatever they may be, an Infernal Sorcerer holds power seen only in the Blood War.

Infernal Talent

At 1st level, your Fiendish Bloodline inspires dark talent. You gain proficiency in Light and Medium Armor as well as Simple and Martial weapons.

Additionally, you can see normally in darkness, both magical and nonmagical, to a distance of 120 feet, and you learn the Infernal Language.

Devilish Flourish

Your Hellblood is boiling, emboldening both the armaments you wield and your effectiveness while wielding them. Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Additionally, each weapon attack deals an extra 1d4 fire damage, which increases to 1d6 upon reaching level 14. You also gain resistance to Fire damage.

General of Stygia

Your Bloodline awakens potency from the Hellish Generals of the Blood War itself, and you gaining the ability to call upon their troops if the need arises. As an action, you can summon Fiends in a space within 30 ft that you can see using Sorcery points. Choose one of the following options for what appears

  • One Fiend of challenge rating 6 (6 Sorcery points)
  • Two or lower Fiends of challenge rating 5 (5 Sorcery points)
  • Three or lower Fiends of challenge rating 4 (4 Sorcery points)
  • Four or lower Fiends of challenge rating 3 (3 Sorcery points)
  • Five or lower Fiends of challenge rating 2 and under (2 Sorcery points)

Fiends summoned in such way require no concentration, completely serve you, and disappear when they die or when you take a long rest. Additionally, when you summon an amount of Fiends this way corresponding to the option you picked, you can no longer use this feature until you take a long rest.

Prince of Hell

Your blood draws from the Archdevils of Hell themselves, the rulers of the nine circles. You gain the ability to create one Fiendish Contract when you complete a long rest. As an action, you can present this contract to any Humanoid hostile, neutral, or friendly. You can determine the terms of the contract, or you can follow these default terms

  • Contracted Humanoid gains temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier multiplied by 3
  • Contracted Humanoid gains a +3 to their damage rolls for the next minute
  • Contracted Humanoid gains a +3 to their AC for the next minute

In exchange, you gain:

  • Advantage on all attacks, saving throws, and ability checks on the Contracted Humanoid
  • Contracted Humanoid have disadvantage on all attacks targeting you
  • Contracted Humanoid has disadvantage on Saving throws and Ability checks imposed onto them by you

You can only have one contract at a time. If you attempt to fabricate a new Fiendish contract, the last contract you have made is dissolved immediately. Additionally, you gain Fire immunity and Poison resistance.
