Base Class: Monk
Monks who study the Way of the pendulum Arc have come to understand that receiving a strike shouldn't necessarliy be avoided, but capitalised upon. One who studies the way of the Pendulum Arc have mastered the art of turning their opponents attacks and momentum into fuel for their own strikes. A student of the Pendulum Arc must master the arts of patience and endurance in order to strike at their fullest potential.
Gathered Force
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can gather the force your your enemy's blows and strike back with it. Whenever you get hit by a melee attack from a creature, you can use your reaction and spend 1 ki point to gain resistance to the triggering damage type for the rest of your enemy's turn and gain one of the following effects:
- You get to immediatly make an unarmed strike with the same triggered damage type.
- The first time you hit with a melee attack on your next turn, the target takes an extra 1d6 damage of the triggering type.
Perfect Deflection
At 6th level, you learn to use Deflect Missiles in more ways. You may use Deflect missiles against damaging, ranged spells as well as ranged weapon attacks. Additionally, you can still make a ranged attack using the missile if you decrease the damage you took to less than or equal to your monk level.
Multiplying Arc
Beginning at 11th level, If you have already used your reaction for your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to gain a second reaction. You can only use this once per turn.
Retaliating Swing
At 17th level, you can channel the arc of your enemy's blows and send them back towards them. After you have been forced to make a saving throw by a creature that made or would've made you take damage, you can spend 3 ki points to force the same creature to make the same saving throw for the same effect and damage. Additionally, as a reaction, if any other creatures are targeted by the same saving throw as you and are within 10 ft of you, you can spend 2 ki points per creature to make them automatically succeed on their saving throw.
