Base Class: Rogue
You seek to uncover the truth, doggedly pursuing leads to reveal the plots of devious villains, discover ancient secrets, or unravel other mysteries. Your analytical mind quickly formulates solutions to complicated problems and your honed senses identify even the most obscure clues. Wielding knowledge as a weapon, you study the creatures and dangers you encounter to exploit their weaknesses.
Devise a Stratagem
Starting at 3rd level, you learn how to assess a foe's weaknesses in combat and use them to formulate a plan of attack against your enemy.
As a bonus action, you can choose to Devise a Stratagem:
Choose a creature you can see and roll a d20. If you make an Attack against the chosen creature later this round, you must use the result of the roll you made to Devise a Stratagem for your Attack's attack roll instead of rolling and you deal your Sneak Attack damage as long as the attack did not have disadvantage and you have not already used the Sneak Attack Feature this turn. You make this substitution only for the first Attack you make against the creature this round, not any subsequent attacks.
When you make this substitution, you can also use your Intelligence modifier for your attack roll instead of your Strength or Dexterity modifier, provided your attack is using a finesse or ranged weapon. When you do this, the attack also gains extra damage equal to your intelligence modifier.
Flexible Mind
Your mind is exceptional at both making deductions and recalling the information necessary to do so. As a result, whenever you make a Intelligence check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of +1) and whenever you make a Wisdom check you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1)
Incredible Reactions
Starting at 9th level, your reflexes are unnaturally quick and work in tandem with your mind. You gain the following features:
Calculated Dodge:
You perceive every possible way your foe's attack could land and attempt to avoid them all. When an attacker that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to increase your AC by your intelligence modifier, possibly causing it to miss.
Calculated Possibilities:
You have already made your predictions, and when they reliably ring true, you have already made the appropriate counter measures. Once per round, you can use the Calculated Dodge or Uncanny Dodge feature without using your reaction, , as long as a feature does not stop you from taking reactions.
Reason Rapidly
By 13th level, your brain reasons so quickly, that you can even pursue other lines of thought.
When you use your Devise A Stratagem feature, you can take an addition action as part of that bonus action, as long as the action is a Wisdom (Perception) check to spot a hidden creature or object, an Intelligence (Investigation) check to uncover/decipher clues or investigate an Illusion, or an Intelligence Check to recall knowledge about a creature.
Furthermore, you can use the Devise A Stratagem feature even if you are unable to take a bonus action due to the incapacitated condition as long as you do not also have the Unconscious or Stunned condition.
You also gain the ability to abandon your stratagem, meaning you do not gain the benefits of Devise A Stratagem, but you are also not forced to use its roll.
Supernatural Logic
Your knowledge, reasoning and intuition have been honed to such a degree that, to the average person, it is indistinguishable from magic.
if an ability check would give you false information, you know it is false, if an allies' check gives false information, and it is shared with you, you also know it is false.
You automatically succeed on saving throws against illusions, and you automatically detect visual illusions and shapechangers or creatures that have been transformed by magic, though you do not know what is behind the visual illusion or the original form of transformed creatures.
Improved Stratagem
Devise A Stratagem no longer costs a bonus action, and when you devise a stratagem, you roll three times, taking the best result.
