Members of the College of Comedy strive to bring a smile into every situation. Insulting and shaming your adversaries into submission is just as important as self depreciation to encourage and motivate allies and deflect mistrust from yourself and your friends.

Savage Mockery

When you join the College of Comedy at 3rd level, you gain the Vicious Mockery Cantrip if you don't already know it. When casting this spell you can insult the target and if the DM is impressed by your insult, the spell's damage die changes to a d8.

Comedic Timing

Also at 3rd level, you learn how to use your wit to turn mishaps into inspiring gags. When a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you rolls a natural one on an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, you can use your reaction to grant another creature you can see a bardic inspiration die without expending a use of bardic inspiration.

The Last Laugh is on You

At 6th level, you learn to how to turn your biggest failures into a lighthearted event. When you are reduced to 0 hit points but don't die outright, you can spend your last moment of consciousness tripping over yourself in a hilarious way. You immediately fail a death saving throw, but grant up to 6 creatures you can see within 60 ft. of yourself a bardic inspiration die without expending a use of bardic inspiration. You can use this feature once and can do so again after finishing a long rest.

Infectious Laughter

At 6th level, when you learn the Spell Hideous Laughter. As a bonus action while concentrating on the spell you can crack a joke to spread the laughter. Pick another creature within 30 ft. of a creature under the effect of Hideous Laughter. The spell now affects this creature as well as the original target. When your Concentration ends, so will the spell on all its targets. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and you regain all expended uses after a long rest.

Village Idiot

Starting at level 14 everyone you encounter assumes that you are just a funny idiot, making you very inconspicuous. You have advantage on deception and persuasion checks after getting caught somewhere you don't belong or doing illicit activities. If you fail an intimidation check, creatures will interpret it as a bad joke and are less likely to become hostile.

Laughingstock

When you reach 14th level you gain the ability to feign inability in order to shore up your resources. Whenever you roll an ability check, saving throw or attack roll against a hostile target, you can use a reaction to automatically fail the roll. You can do so after rolling the die, but before knowing the result, You immediately regain a spent use of your Bardic Inspiration. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier.
