Form of the Dragon

3rd-level Path of the Dragonblood Feature

When you enter your rage, you can transform, revealing the draconic power within you. Until the rage ends, you manifest a natural weapon. It counts as a simple melee weapon for you, and you add your Strength modifier to the attack and damage rolls when you attack with it, as normal.

You choose the weapon’s form each time you rage:

Draconic Bite. Your mouth transforms into a fearsome dragon's maw or serrated jaws (your choice). It deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you damage a creature with this bite, you regain a number of hit points equal to your proficiency bonus, provided you have less than half your hit points when you hit.

Draconic Claws. Each of your hands transforms into a set of sharp, scaled claws, which you can use as a weapon if they are empty. They deal 1d6 slashing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you attack with a claw using the Attack action, you can make one additional claw attack as part of the same action.

Draconic Tail. You sprout a formidable, scaly tail, which deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit and has the reach property. If a creature you can see within 10 feet of you hits you with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to sweep your tail and roll a d8, applying a bonus to your AC equal to the number rolled, potentially causing the attack to miss you.

Dragonblood

At 3rd level, you choose a type of dragon as your ancestral heritage: Red, Blue, Green, Black, or White. This choice determines the type of damage your dragon abilities deal and grants you resistance to that damage type when in rage. You also gain an affinity for the associated terrain:

  • Red: Fire damage, resistance to fire, affinity for volcanic terrain.
  • Blue: Lightning damage, resistance to lightning, affinity for stormy terrain.
  • Green: Poison damage, resistance to poison, affinity for forested terrain.
  • Black: Acid damage, resistance to acid, affinity for swampy terrain.
  • White: Cold damage, resistance to cold, affinity for icy terrain.

Each creature in that area must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or become frightened for 1 minute. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. Additionally, for the duration, your allies within the cone gain temporary hit points equal to your Barbarian level.

Dragon's Wyrmflight

At 10th level, your rage allows you to manifest dragon-like wings that grant you limited flight capabilities. As a bonus action, you can sprout or retract your wings. While your wings are active, you gain a fly speed equal to your current movement speed. You can't hover, and you must land at the end of your turn if you are flying. Your wings last for one minute and can be used for a number of times per day equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1).
