In many cultures, negativity born or trauma and hardships are seen as a bad thing that needs to be removed as soon as possible. This notion does not exist for you, as you utilise this trauma to grow as a person, and gain strength - sometimes by condensing said negativity into a giant fighting spirit to do the heavy lifting for you!

Spirit of Rage

At level 3, when you adopt this path, you can summon a manifestation of your emotions to fight for you, each giving you abilities to aid you in battle. Once you chose a manifestation, you cannot choose another until you have finished a long rest.

All manifestations give you temporary HP equal to twice your player level, rounded down.

  • Suffering. While raging, you have advantage on attack rolls if you have been damaged this turn. You release the suffering you experienced back at the world.
  • Hunger. While raging, your unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d6 damage, and you gain HP equal to the damage you dealt. Hunger pains from a lack of food during your adventures drives you, biting down on everything you can see.
  • Impatience. While raging, you gain an additional 10 ft to your movement speed. Time is key to keeping your manifestation in check, and you're running out of it.
  • Spite. While raging, when a creature within 5 feet of you makes an attack against you, you can immediately use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack. The world has wronged you, and now your motivation is to fight back at such a system.

Quick Blast

At level 10, instead of summoning your rage manifestation, you can deal a large burst of emotional damage of your negativity, dealing d12 psychic damage equal to half your player level rounded down to every creature in your movement range. This attack ignores resistances and immunities. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your prficiency bonus per long rest.

Symbiotic Boost

At 14th level, you have managed to control the manifestation to unlock untapped potential. You're in control of your rages as much as it is to you - a symbiosis between you and your manifestation. You can choose the same manifestation you selected after a long rest or a different one.

  • Suffering. If you haven't taken any damage at the end of your last turn, your attack rolls cannot go below 1 this turn. If you roll a 1, reroll the die and use the new roll.
  • Hunger. You gain an additional 3d12 temporary HP, which is added to your temporary HP alongside the temporary HP given for all manifestations.
  • Impatience. When you use your movement speed to enter another creature's space, you can use a reaction to shove them 5ft away from you. The creature also needs to make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw and on a fail, they fall over and take 1d10 bludgeoning damage.
  • Spite. When a creature within 5 ft of you casts a spell on you or another creature you can see within 5 ft of you, you can immediately use your reaction to cast a 9th level counterspell.
