The Circle of Spirits

Spirit Caller

Starting at 2nd level, you can call forth the spirits of beasts. As an action, you can expend a use of Wild Shape to summon a number of spirits of animals that you can transform into up to your Wisdom modifier, minimum of 1. Each of these spirits appear in an unoccupied space within 10 feet of you and use the stats of their physical counterparts, with the following changes:

  • It has a flying speed of 30 ft.
  • It has truesight out to 30 ft.
  • It can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. If it ends its turn inside a creature or object, it takes 1d10 force damage.

You can communicate with your spirits telepathically, they follow your commands and you can dismiss them as a bonus action. They dissapear on their own after 1 hour, when you are dead or on a different plane of existence from them, or when you expend another use of Wild Shape for any purpose. While you have any number of spirits summoned, your hit point maximum is decreased by their combined hit point maximum ÷ 2.

Circle Forms

The rites of your circle grant you the ability to transform into more useful animal forms. Starting at 2nd level, you can use your wild shape to transform into a beast with a challenge rating as high as your druid level divided by 4, rounded down, and you can transform into a creature with a swimming or flying speed (you ignore the Max CR. And Limitations columns of the Beast Shapes table), starting at 5th level, when you use Wild Shape, you gain truesight out to a range of 30 ft. until you are no longer transformed, and starting at 11th level, you can transform into a swarm of beasts.

Spirit Messenger

Your spirits can convey information for you. Starting at 3rd level, you know the animal messenger spell, always have it prepared, and can cast it without expending a spell slot. You can cast this spell on your summoned spirits.

Ghostly Form

Starting at 6th level, you can use an action to phase out of reality. For the next minute, you gain a flying speed of 30 ft. and you can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. If you end your turn in another creature or objects space, you take 1d10 force damage.

Scrying Eyes

When you reach 10th level, you know the scrying spell and can cast it without material components. The spell does not count against the number of druid spells you can have prepared at a time.

Additionally as a bonus action on your turn, you can choose one spirit that you have summoned. Until the start of your next turn, you can see and hear through them as if you were in their space.

Spirit Reaper

When you reach 14th level, you can harvest the spirits of slain creatures. When a creature dies within 30 feet of you, you may use your reaction to force them to make a Charisma saving throw against your Spell Save DC. On a success, you cannot use this feature again until you finish a short rest. On a failure, you regain a spell slot of a level equal to or less than the creatures challenge rating/level (whichever is higher) ÷ 5 and the creature cannot be ressurected in any way.
