Base Class: Cleric
Some do not wish for grand adventure, or for glory in battle. Sometimes, a small shireside cottage, a warm hearth, and good food is all that's needed for fulfilling life. The clerics of the hearth domain fight for that very concept, embodying warmth, unity, and simplicity. They provide their allies with small comforts, knowing that those comforts will snowball into greater and greater strength over evil.
Domain Spells
1st-level Hearth Domain feature
You learn the spell Goodberry and always have it prepared. Although your knowledge of spells is humble, those you do know help allies in special ways; your goodberries also put the target under the effects of the spell Calm Emotions.
Bonus Proficiencies
1st-level Hearth Domain feature
You gain proficiency with chef's tools. if you already have proficiency, you instead gain expertise.
Homemaking
1st-level Hearth Domain feature
Over the course of 10 minutes, or doing a short or long rest, you may whip up a hearthy meal for yourself and an amount of creatures up to your proficiency bonus, using wisdom and your cook's tools (creatures must be present at the end of the 10 minutes and eat the food to gain the benefit). All who eat the meal gain a number of benefits, called Food Buffs, which will grow alongside your experience. Effects, such as the chef feature that also use food that gives buffs may be added on to your buffs, even allowing temporary hit points to add together instead of replace one another (as long as all effects are included in one meal). Your Food Buffs last a number of hours equal to your proficiency bonus time 4
At first level, your meal gives temporary hit points equal to the cooking tools' check used, and makes a number of goodberries equal to your cleric level, as if you had cast the spell without expending a slot.
Simple
1st-level Hearth Domain feature
You are simple minded; sometimes to the point of detriment, but other times, to your advantage. If you are charmed or otherwise forced to act, you cannot take actions that deal damage to another creature. Your simplemindedness is also effective against the more complex forms of evil in the universe; madness effects last for half their duration on you, rounded down, and you may roll 2 dice (or percentage) and take the more favorable result on madness tables.
Channel Divinity: Hearthfire
2nd-level Twilight Domain feature
You can use your Channel Divinity to refresh your allies with soothing fires and warm comforts.
As an action, you present your holy symbol, and a wreath of comforting flames and comfy objects appears for the next minute in a 20ft radius centered on yourself. While inside, All creatures receive nonlethal damage. When a creature enters the area, or at the start of that creature's turn, they gain the effects of the spell Sanctuary, using your spell save dc. Creatures inside feel a desire to relax, make peace, or reflect. (Reminder: Nonlethal damage renders a creature unconscious, and does not instigate death saves. They are also not stable from dying; they are unconscious)
Grand Feast
6th-level Hearth Domain feature
Your food buffs gain an additional effect: Creatures who eat it gain more healing from all sources, equal to your wisdom modifier. Making food within your channel divinity only takes half the amount of time as normal, and with double the amount of temporary hit points granted.
Homely Touch
8th-level Hearth Domain feature
Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with an attack, you can forgo all damage dealt, instead making their next attack deal twice that amount less damage. A creature who deals 0 damage as a result of this ability keeps any leftover damage that was not needed for the reduction, as it carries over to their next attack's damage.
Your food buffs gain an effect: Creatures who eat this food can stay pleasantly warm in any temperatures, and are immune to being petrified. They gain a bonus equal to your wisdom modifier to skill checks when in peace (not in initiative or during an actively hostile situation, DM discression).
Community Builder
17th-level Hearth Domain feature
You gain a special place to call your own; engaging in a ritual over the course of 7 days that marks an area as your one and only true home, your community. When the ritual ends, this area gains the effects of Forbiddance, and all creatures who long rest within it who can cast 6th level or higher spells learn the spell Word of Recall. It is always prepared for them, and is attuned to this place, ignoring the effects of the forbiddance. Food buffs eaten here have double their normal effect. Creatures cannot enter this area without your permission. You may only have one of these active at a time; making a new one makes the old effect ends immediately, including all related effects, such as stronger food buffs.
