Base Class: Fighter
Champion of the Pride fighters are the ferocity, agility, and power of a Leonin Pride distilled into one creature.
Champion's Physique
Starting at 3rd level when you choose this archetype, you begin your journey along the path of a champion, embodying the athletic forms of Leonin's wild brethren. Your strength is doubled for the purpose of determining the distance of your jumps, and you gain advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks related to jumping, climbing, and swimming.
Additionally, your speed is not inhibited while you have a creature of your size or smaller Grappled, and when you Shove a creature you can push it up to 5 * half your Strength modifier (rounded up) feet away from you.
Lion's Ferocity
Starting at 3rd level, you learn to fight with the wild abandon of a lion still searching for its pride. Once per turn when you hit a creature within 5 feet of you with a melee weapon attack, you can immediately attempt to Grapple or Shove that creature.
Pride's Paragon
Starting at 7th level, you learn to draw power from your chosen Pride. You gain a bonus to checks and saves equal to the number of your allies within 30 feet of you to a maximum bonus of +3.
At 18th level, the maximum bonus of this feature increases to +5.
Champion's Fury
Starting at 10th level, you've decided no assault on your Pride will go unpunished. When you Shove a creature you can both push it and knock it Prone.
Additionally, when you or another creature you can see within 30 feet of you is hit by an attack roll, you can use your reaction to seek bloody vengeance. You move up to your speed towards the attacker and make one weapon attack against it. You can use this reaction a number of times per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus.
Hero of the Pride
Starting at 15th level, you've become the embodiment of your Pride's courage and hope. You are always under the effect of the Heroism spell, which uses your Constitution modifier as its relevant spellcasting modifier.
Additionally, once per short or long rest, you can cast the Heroism at 5th level. When cast this way the range of the spell is 30 feet, rather than touch.
Lion's Fearsome Might
At 18th level, you've come to fully embrace your role as a Champion. From its primal origins, to its place among the pride, to its fury and heroism, you have channeled all. Now you take hold of the Champion's relation to the enemies of its pride -a relation of fear. You can use your Lion's Ferocity feature twice per turn rather than once.
Additionally, whenever you succeed on a check to Grapple or Shove a creature, it must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or be Frightened of you until the end of your next turn. Once a creature has been Frightened by this effect it has advantage on further saves to resist this effect until the end of combat.
