Base Class: Fighter
Foul Legacy is a subclass for the Fighter class. It is a subclass for those who are willing to cross the line in order to win. Foul Legacy fighters are able to channel the power of the Abyss, but at a great cost.
**Prerequisite:** Fighter class level 3
**Features**
**3rd Level: Fowl Legacy**
When you choose this subclass at 3rd level, you gain the ability to tap into the power of the Abyss. You can use your action to transform into your Fowl Legacy form. This transformation lasts for 1 minute, or until you drop to 0 hit points.
While in your Fowl Legacy form, you gain the following benefits:
* You gain a bonus to your AC equal to your proficiency bonus.
* Your melee weapon attacks gain the reach property.
* You deal an extra 1d6 necrotic damage on each hit with a melee weapon attack.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
**3rd Level: Abyssal Rage**
When you enter your Fowl Legacy form, you fly into an Abyssal rage. While in this rage, you gain the following benefits:
* You have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
* When you make a melee weapon attack against a creature, you can reroll one of the attack rolls. You must use the new roll.
* You have resistance to all damage except psychic and necrotic damage.
Your rage ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if you choose to end it. Once you end your rage, you must take a long rest before you can use it again.
**7th Level: Abyssal Strike**
When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack while in your Fowl Legacy form, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw against your Fighter DC. On a failed save, the creature takes 4d6 necrotic damage and is stunned for 1 round.
**10th Level: Abyssal Form Mastery**
While in your Fowl Legacy form, you can use your bonus action to cast one of the following spells: blight, darkness, or fear. You don't need to expend a spell slot to cast the spell, and you can cast it without material components.
**15th Level: Abyssal Onslaught**
When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack while in your Fowl Legacy form, you can force the creature to make a Strength saving throw against your Fighter DC. On a failed save, the creature is knocked prone.
**18th Level: Abyssal Transformation**
When you transform into your Fowl Legacy form, you can choose to merge with the Abyss. When you do, you gain the following benefits:
* You become immune to all damage except psychic and necrotic damage.
* You gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Fighter DC.
* You gain the ability to fly.
* Your melee weapon attacks gain the force property.
This transformation lasts for 1 minute, or until you drop to 0 hit points. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
**Risks**
While the power of the Abyss is great, it comes at a cost. Foul Legacy fighters are constantly at risk of being consumed by the Abyss.
Each time a Foul Legacy fighter transforms into their Fowl Legacy form, they must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the fighter takes 1d6 necrotic damage and is cursed.
While cursed, the fighter has disadvantage on all attack rolls and saving throws. The curse lasts for 1 minute, or until the fighter uses their action to end it.
If a Foul Legacy fighter fails the Constitution saving throw by 5 or more, they are immediately consumed by the Abyss and die.
