Base Class: Monk

While many monks gather in monasteries, Way of the Wild monks find peace in nature. Time spent with druids and other nature dwelling folk has taught them how to harness primal magic and use it to enhance their abilities. Way of the Wild monks use ki to cast powerful magic and harness the power of the environment.

Druidic Warrior

Your intense connection to nature and it's magic allows you to use your mind rather that your body for attacks. Starting at 3rd level, when you attack with an unarmed strike or a monk weapon, you can use your wisdom modifier in place of your dexterity modifier for the attack roll and damage modifier.

Nature attuned

At 3rd level your connection with nature enhances your ability to interact with it. Choose between the following skills: Animal Handling, Nature, or Survival. You gain proficiency in the chosen skill and your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability checks made with it. You also learn to read, speak, and write Druidic.

Embody Environment

At 6th level, your connection to nature allows to embody specific environments and gain their powers. Chose between one of the following environments and gain the abilities listed. You can change which environment you embody on a long rest. Any spells casted with this feature uses your ki save dc as it's spell save dc. Once per turn when you take the attack action you can replace one attack with a cantrip. 

Forest. You embody the comforting tranquility of the forest. You gain resistance to poison damage. When you embody the forest you gain the guidance cantrip and can expend 2 ki points to cast the spell healing word at second level.

Desert. You embody the scorching heat of the desert. You gain resistance to fire damage. When you embody the desert you gain the gust cantrip and can expend 2 ki points to cast the spell flaming sphere.

Tundra. You embody the unyielding cold of the tundra. You gain resistance to cold damage. When you embody the tundra you gain the ray of frost cantrip and can expend 2 ki points to cast the spell warding wind.

Ocean. You embody the intense weather of the ocean. You gain resistance to lightning damage. When you embody the ocean you gain the lightning lure cantrip and can expend 2 ki points to cast the spell shatter.

Environmental Versatility

At 11th level you become more comfortable switching between environments. As a bonus action, you can expend 2 ki point to switch your embodied environment to another.

Enhanced Environmental Embodiement

By 11th level your ability to embody the environment is greatly increased, allowing you to gain additional abilities on top of those granted at 6th level. 

Forest. While embodying the forest you produce an aura of tranquility in a 5 foot sphere around you. Any friendly creature within this aura gains resistance to poison damage and has advantage on any saving throw against being poisoned, charmed, or frightened. As an action you can expend 4 ki points to give a creature within your aura a number of temporary hit points equal to your half your monk level rounded down. In addition to this you can expend 3 ki points to cast the spell mass healing word. You gain immunity to poison damage.

Desert. While embodying the desert you radiate an aura of scorching heat in a 5 foot sphere around you. Whenever a hostile creatures enters or ends its turn in the sphere it takes  fire damage equal to half your monk level rounded down. As an action you can spend 4 ki points to cause the heat to greatly increase dealing 5d6 fire damage to any creature within the aura, including friendly creatures and yourself. In addition to this you can expend 3 ki points to cast the spell wall of sand. You gain immunity to fire damage.

Tundra. While embodying the tundra spikes of durable ice form on your body, enhancing your defenses. You gain a +1 to your armor class. Whenever a creature hits you with a melee weapon attack it takes cold damage equal to half your proficiency bonus rounded down. As an action you can expend 4 ki to encase yourself in ice, gaining resistance to all damage types except for fire and reducing your movement speed to 0ft until the start of your next turn. In addition to this you can expend 3 ki points to cast the spell spirit shroud(cold damage only). You gain immunity to cold damage.

Ocean. While embodying the ocean its destructive power runs through you. Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d4 lightning damage on a hit. You also gain the ability to expend 4 ki points to knock an large or smaller creature prone after hitting with an unarmed strike. In addition to this you can expend 3 ki points to cast the spell lightning bolt. You gain immunity to lightning damage.

Environmental Master

Upon reaching 17th level, you’ve mastered your ability to embody nature. You gain the ability to embody two different environments at once.

One with Nature

at 17th level you gain proficiency in the following skills: Animal Handling, Perception, Nature, and Survival and your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make with these skills.
