Base Class: Paladin
Tenets of Pain
The tenets of the Oath of Pain drive a paladin to relish in the suffering of the mortal coil.
- Push Thy Limits. Your body is a vessel to be pushed and tested, know the limits of your body and test them.
- Bring Bliss to Thy Enemy. Treat your enemies as you wish to be treated, with pain.
- Shield Thy Ally. Understand your allies do not wish to experience the same thing as you, use your body as their shield.
- Blood is Thy Weapon. Utilize your suffering as a weapon against your enemy.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.
Impelled Agony. As a bonus action, you taunt and mock other creatures to inflict pain upon you. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature has disadvantage on attack rolls made against creatures other than you. This effect lasts for 1 minute or until you are incapacitated.
You can end this effect on your turn as part of any other action. If you are no longer holding or carrying this weapon, or if you fall unconscious, this effect ends.
Bloody Retaliation. When you use your Divine Smite feature to deal damage to a creature, you may use your reaction to deal additional damage equal to your missing HP.

Aura of Blood
Starting at 7th level, when you take damage from an attack your blood protects your allies in your stead. Whenever you take damage allies within 10 feet of you receive temporary hp equal to half your paladin level rounded up, as the blood from your wounds shields them from blows.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Through Suffering, Strength!
At 15th level, when your current hp is less than half of your max hp, your crit range increases from 20 to 19. Furthermore, when your current hp is less than a quarter of your max hp, your crit range increases from 19 to 18.
Death's Door
At 20th level, you can now push your body past the point of mortals, delaying your death to have your insatiable desire for pain be quenched. As a reaction, you can delay the inevitability of death. For 1 minute, having 0 hit points doesn’t knock you unconscious. Furthermore, you avoid making death saves on your turn.
However, each time you take damage you must succeed on a constitution saving throw or be killed instantly with no death saves. The DC for the save starts at 10 and increases by 2 at the beginning of your turn to a maximum DC of 30. If you are still at 0 hit points when the effect ends you die as you would had you failed the saving throw as your body crumbles under being pushed past the threshold of life itself.
