Base Class: Barbarian
The Path of the Demolitionist is a barbarian who has discovered the technology of cannons and uses it to the best of their ability. They are granted a hand cannon that lets them demolish any enemy standing in their way.
Hand Cannon
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you get a hand cannon. This weapon is a two handed, heavy weapon that uses strength for its attack score. Any barbarian benefits that normally only apply just to melee attacks also apply to the hand cannon. While in a rage the hand cannon gains the extra benefits of ignoring the reload property and it doesn't get disadvantage at short range.
Explosive Burst
Beginning at 6th level, while raging you can choose to channel your primal rage into your hand cannon. Any creature within 5 ft of the target you hit takes an additional 1d6 fire, cold or lightning damage. This increases to 1d8 at level 14. You must declare this ability and the damage type before the attack and if it misses the DM can determine what it hits instead.
Adapted Reflexes
with your training with your hand cannon you have learned to better adapt to ranged weapon attacks. While in a rage your reflexes adapt to better dodge ranged weapon attacks. While raging you gain restance to all martial ranged weapon attacks and any ranged spell that has a projectile.
Heavy Shot
Starting at 14th level, You can use your bonus action to make one of your shots even more powerful than normal. Any creature that is hit with this special attack must make a strength saving throw with a DC of 8 + your strength score + your proficiency modifier. On a success they take normal damage on a fail they are knocked prone and the projectile keeps moving in a straight line. If it hits another creature this save is repeated.
You can also shoot through cover with your hand cannon. If a creature is behind an object the hand cannon’s projectile has a chance to go through the obstacle. What happens when the projectile hits this barrier is up to the DM. This effect grows in power when you use your special attack.
