Base Class: Bard
Bards of the Jester College use humour to persuade people of particular courses of action. Despite their often odd attire and lack of ability to take anything seriously, these bards almost effortlessly rise the ranks to powerful positions of advisors and trusted friends - never underestimate the power of familiarity. A Jester bard could be of any alignment, but no matter what will always help others, not always for that other person's sake, however.
Bonus Spells
You learn certain spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as outlined below. The gained spells do not count towards the number of spells you know. Additionally, whenever you level up in the Bard class, you may swap these spells out for any spell of the same level in the spell schools of enchantment or illusion.
3rd: Calm Emotions, Friends, Silent Image, Suggestion, Tasha's Hideous Laughter
5th: Fast Friends, Major Image
7th: Charm Monster, Compulsion
9th: Creation, Geas
Infectious Expertise
At 3rd level, you inspire those around you. While a creature is granted your bardic inspiration dice, it also gains proficiency in all skills you have expertise in.
Flexible Caster
At 6th level, you have learnt how to put on a performance in any condition. When casting a spell that has either a verbal or somatic component, you may swap verbal elements for somatic, and vice versa. You may ignore both components by succeeding on a charisma(performance) check of DC 15 + the spell's level.
Additionally, you may raise your spell save DC for one target of a spell you cast equal to your charisma(performance) modifier. You may do this an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus and may get all uses back when you complete a long rest.
Eternal Joker
At 14th level, whenever you succeed on a charisma check against a creature, you may cast one of the spells you gain from your bonus spells feature targeting it. You do not need to use a spell slot when casting it, but you must have the spell slot available.

Posted Sep 30, 2023Hi, this is a subclass I've been thinking about for a while but have never been able to playtest. Was just wondering if I could have some advice at all?
