Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Chants host the myriad of spiritual leaders who guide their followers in song. These songs and chants are used to inspire those who hear them to act in line with their deity, or else to reveal their deities’ greatness to those who would listen. Bards who follow this path may be known as Chanters and while they are mostly known to lead congregations of the common folk, many are remembered for their long pilgrimages that hope to inspire new songs in their god’s image. Deities are known to grant supernatural gifts to Chanters who worship them in this way and will often seek to assist those who lead others in their songs.

Inspired Charity

When you choose this subclass at 3rd level, you inspire others to generosity. While a creature has one of your Bardic Inspiration dice, they can use their reaction when another creature they can see within 60 feet makes an attack roll, ability check or saving throw to expend their Bardic Inspiration die, rolling it and adding the value to the creature’s roll.

Song of Salvation

Also from 3rd level, you learn one 1st or 2nd level spell from the Cleric spell list and can cast it once per day without expending a spell slot. This spell counts as a bard spell for you but does not count against the number of bard spells you know. You can change the spell you choose as part of this feature each time you gain the benefit of a long rest.

Additionally, each time you cast a spell and restore hit points to a creature, you can add your proficiency bonus to the number of hit points restored.

Leader of the Choir

Starting from 6th level, as part of taking a short or long rest you can select a number of willing creatures that rest with you up to half your proficiency bonus to join your Choir. Creatures you designate remain part of your Choir until you next take a short or long rest.

When you cast a spell that has a casting range other than Self, you can choose to cast the spell from the space of a Choir member that you can see within 60 feet of you instead of your own.

Mutual Inspiration

From 14th level, you inspire generosity that is more than its own reward. When a creature expends an Inspiration die that you have granted them by adding it to another creature’s roll, they can add a d6 to one attack roll, ability check or saving throw they make within the next hour.

As well as this, you can use your reaction to regain one use of your Bardic Inspiration each time a creature you have inspired adds the die to another creature’s roll.
