Base Class: Fighter
Some fighters choose to train not only with weaponry, but learn to exercise a limited control over the souls of their victims, strengthening their blows, aiding their tactics, and making them fearsome rivals on the battlefield. Darkwraiths can discomfort those near them due to their close tie to death. Seen as unnatural, they tend to make few friends and allies, though they are feared and respected by most.
Shades of Death
At 3rd level, Death lingers with your presence, unnerving those around you. If you have killed a creature since the last time you’ve rested, you gain a bonus to intimidation checks equal to your proficiency bonus.
Soul Reaping
At 3rd level when you pick this subclass, you can harvest the souls of those you kill and wield them against other enemies. As a reaction when a creature you have damaged dies, you harvest part of its soul, and can add that creature’s constitution mod (minimum +1) to all attack and damage rolls until the end of your next turn. You can only use one soul in this way at a time
Mortal Cloaking
At 7th level, you gain the ability to use souls to aid your tactics in battle beyond brute force. Instead of harvesting a soul from a dead creature, you can instead dismiss it with a reaction, making you invisible until the start of your next turn and allowing you to move up to your speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Draw of Death
At 10th level, driving a creature closer to death invigorates your strikes, eventually making it near impossible to miss a killing blow. You gain a bonus to your attack rolls against a creature based on its remaining hp.

Deathly Invigoration
At 15th level, you utilize souls to empower not only your strikes, but your endurance as well. Every time you harvest a soul, you may add one to the number of d10’s you roll when you use your second wind ability. You can never roll more than 4d10 using this ability.
Soul Seethe
At 18th level, you can enter a soul-hungering frenzy. This frenzy lasts for 1 minute during which time:
- You have resistance to all non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage
- When you kill a creature, the soul is automatically harvested with no additional action required, and healing you for one of the enemy’s hit dice
- When you kill a creature, you can immediately make another attack
- The restriction on the number of souls you can utilize at one time is removed
Once you use this ability, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
