Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

For some barbarians, rage is a means to let out anger through blood and slaughter. For a Barbarian of the Path of the Coward, to rage is a knee jerk reaction. These Barbarians do not necessarily like combat, but when put into such a situation go into a blind panic, stumbling around, lashing out.

Cautious Strike

Starting at 3rd level, you can choose to be more defensive when you strike, at the cost of damage. When you make your first attack on your turn, you can decide
to attack with caution. Doing so gives attacks against you disadvantage, but any damage you do is halved. This can be paired with Reckless Attack, as which you have advantage on your attack, of which the damage is halved, and attacks against you are as normal (as the advantage/disadvantage cancel out).

A Coward's Fortress

As you embrace the Path of the Coward at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with heavy armour.

Fearful Panic

Beginning at 6th level, when you become frightened you lash out even wilder, fear driving you to attack wildly. You have advantage on attack rolls on the source of fear, however, you cannot move closer, as per usual.

Cowardly Retreat

Beginning at 10th level, your cowardly ways have made you proficient in running away, disengaging and running becoming more natural to you. You can now disengage as a bonus action, and opportunity attacks have disadvantage against you.

Knee Jerk

Starting at 14th level, your natural instincts of lashing out allow you to lash out when you get hit. When you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of you, you can make a melee attack as a free reaction, as many times as you get hit.
